They're playing away at West Brom.

You sure that wasn't Skys old footage of him arriving in England to speak to Stoke ? He was certainly wearing that same Varsity jacket when I seen him on SSN at that time and also seemed to be a lot of leaves on trees in the background of the clip I've just seen.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2261075/Sunderland-close-Moussa-Sissoko-Newcastle-target-Jores-Okore.html Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is close to signing French star Moussa Sissoko, 23, in a £3.5million deal. The midfielder is being made available by his club Toulouse as his contract is up in the summer and they don't want to miss out on a fee. O'Neill, who is still keen on Swansea striker Danny Graham, will make an offer next week. Newcastle, meanwhile, have added Manchester United target Jores Okore, 20, to their list of potential signings. The Danish international defender is available for around £5m and impressed for Nordsjaelland in the Champions League this season.

http://www.nufcfans.co.uk/he-has-no-choice-debuchy-must-accept-lille-stay/ Lille defender Mathieu Debuchy played 70 minutes in Lille’s pre-season friendly against Rennes tonight, and afterwards the Newcastle target was once again told he’s not going anywhere. After the match, Lille boss Rudi Garcia said: “Mathieu was good. It was important to play 70 minutes for him. “He will have to digest the fact that the club does not want to release him and he has no choice in the matter. “It is important that he does well for us, for himself and for the France team.” Alan Pardew has already said the transfer is out of his hands in a way and Debuchy himself is yet to meet president Michel Seydoux.

http://images.littlewoods.com/is/image/Littlewoods/A222P_SP004_50_JG1J4?wid=1200&hei=1600 Not a new shirt but didn't know where else to put this. Noticed quite a few folk on here buying various France tops & I've just seen this on Very website. £13.00 instead of £42, might be of interest to someone. Sorry for the pic size

Jaccob Butterfield has signed for Norwich.

If Toivonen is cheap enough and is brought in to be played as an attacking midfielder then I'd be quite happy with that. It would at least indicate that Pardew intends to go with 433 next season. If he's being brought in as part of the front 3 then no thanks.

Everyones favourite twitter gobshite probably put the kiss of death on this ever happening when he tweeted yesterday morning that Debuchy has already signed for £6.5m but it won't be announced until after Ligue 1 finishes next week.
-
I'm sure the Sigurdsson rumours have started from this that appeared on Newsnow yesterday morning with a headline insinuating that we are interested in singing him. When you read the shitty article it says nothing of the sort. http://www.nufcblog.com/2012/04/17/is-this-goal-scoring-icelandic-midfielder-on-newcastles-radar/

No way have we bid £3m for him a week ago if they've accepted £2.5m from Wigan now.

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)
MidfieldGeneral replied to a topic in Football
Definetly think 3 in midfield is the way to go to bring out the best in Cabaye. I could be wrong, because I know very little about French football, but didn't Lille play with 3 in the middle when he was there ? He's a foreigner playing in a new league, a better, more competitive and far quicker league than he's used to, and for a mid table team when he's just left the champions. -
No fooking intentions of trying to sign anyone today. First deadline day in a while when that prick David Craig hasn't been stood outside SJP or the training ground, specky cockney gobshite and the fat c**t not even in Newcastle and Santon & Elliot signed yesterday when a days wages could've been saved on both. Day off for Ashley and Lambias today imo. Pissed off to say the least Liverpool paid well over the odds for Carroll in January yet these useless twats couldn't spend a fraction of that money to buy the type of striker we've been crying out for

Sturridge won't be loaned imho part of their 1st team plans "Sturridge is in my 1st team plans" *buys Lukaku* - Andre Trollas Boas. I'm sure Anderlecht asked to keep Lukaku on loan for this season and Chelsea refused. Can't see why they would loan him out. Even less chance with Drogba's injury. Lukaku himself said he would not sign for Chelsea if they sent him out on loan. When I do leave, it will not be to be loaned out as Thibaut Courtois has been. 'I want to go to a club where I can develop further. 'It's not that I just want to be transferred to Chelsea. At the moment, I am patient. I remain at Anderlecht and I am not thinking of a transfer.'

He's quoted in l'equipe after last nights game saying he's never said he wants to leave Lyon.
-
He also said "But if it fails, I am not disappointed. My agent must report to me when it is really concrete. I have not heard yet, so I wait.'
-
He's played 3 games and has known of our interest for at least 2 of them.
-
Lyons game is on Sky for anyone who's not seen Cissokho play before.
-
You never know what to believe on wiki but it says on there that he's 6 ft 1.
-
I can see Sturridge being available on loan by the end of the transfer window but us not even bothering because we've gone out and bought someone who we don't really need, like Bendtner, and won't want to pay another strikers wages.
-
Why do ESPN employ muppets like Waddle and Savage ? Savage give Saylor a hell of a dogging for the part he played in Gervinho being sent off yet you could clearly see on the replay that Taylor had his back to what was going on and had just assumed that's what had happened. When my free 3 months runs out it won't be getting renewed.
-
Relax..He needs movement..No runs today so he had no other alternatives than to hit a support pass..Will be much better when he's paired with a fast and movable striker. Let's just hope we get a fast, mobile striker to play along side him and not another slow arse like Bendtner who we've been linked with. Wrong to write Ba off after 45 mins ffs but surely Pardew will have the need for speed up front emphasised even more so after todays first half.

I thought M'Bengue had been lined up as Joses replacement
