Ben Arfa made himself undroppable over that period. Even by Pardew, and after playing a bit part role until March of that season. Pardew had to wait for injury at the start of 12-13 I think to have an excuse to drop him again.

Exactly Talented players are dicks. It happens. Not having him in the team because of that is an indication that winning isn't everything. Which makes even less sense when in the context of Newcastle United.

Horrendous that we didn't see more of him in a Newcastle shirt. As been said many times, if he was the full package then he would never have been at NUFC, but he's the kind of player you pay the ticket price to see play. I'll have fond memories. Many. Just one massive shame. Gutting.
