Part of the appeal of this season was that, as one of the top dogs, we might play some enjoyable football to watch or dominating football and do so consistently. Which would be a break from the norm of the last few seasons. Obviously I'd rather be promoted no matter what, but it's very frustrating as per usual.

Indeed, I wish they would stop having us on. Can't imagine many neutral fans lasting more than 10 minutes with our recent games.

I can't see this being a good idea. You'd see more defenders hacking down players as last man if they know they'll only get a yellow for it and take a chance with the pen. Maybe it could be put in place for keepers. If a keeper does bring an attacker down in the box as the final hurdle (not deliberately of course) penalty + red card does seem a bit harsh.

that would be correct. The line is part of the pen box. For example if the ball was just sitting on the line, the keeper could pick it up with his hands.

Exactly, there needs to be a shift in mentalities about this. If they are offering this for every game, win or good performances and fans are happy to buy them then why shouldn't they? Pretty cool service even.

Wasn't sold on the home one straight away, but the more I saw it in action the more I liked it. Got mine with Rooney 10.

Good shout actually. Especially about the crowds. The similarity I see with Marseille is how the city lives for the club, bordering on obsession, the managerial kneejerk changes and trophy signings (since early 90s of course).

Thought it was a good move to give to someone straight after Shearer retired. Glad they did. Yes the number does have a somewhat heightened meaning here, but it's also way overdone. As said it's the players that have made it great. Hopefully someone will wear it next season.
