As soon as Man U (and Spurs too) complained that they couldn't put a team out a few weeks ago and the PL, naturally, caved and postponed their fixtures it opened the door for everyone to wade in. The PL had the perfect opportunity to act decisively and they fucked it. They let themselves be railroaded into giving them exactly what they asked for (heard that one before) and now it's a bit of a shambles. They could have refused and made them play. They didn't. They could have called a circuit breaker and cancelled the League for 2 weeks. They didn't. They could have drawn up a different set of conditions needed to postpone a game. They didn't. All clubs are working to this criteria and all the crying that Southampton fans are doing counts for precisely fuck all. Suck it up, dry your eyes and get on with it.

Needs to be all systems go as regards getting the transfers in now. We've not got a meaningful game for over 2 weeks so there's no excuses to not get players into the club asap. I'm sure they're working hard on it but it needs to be the sole focus on moving the club forward now.

Totally agree but you look at who's been in the dugout for the last few tears and it starts to make a bit of sense. If they're prepared to appoint and keep a manager based on sentiment then they're capable of signing players without much idea of what they're going to do with them.

We've discussed changing the colour of the seats and possible options to expand the ground but one thing that's been overlooked completely is putting in some safe standing areas. Would increase the capacity (not by as much as we'd like obviously) but more fans, more ST holders, more guaranteed income, no need to move ground or extend the Gallowgate? It's something I think we should definitely be looking into. It's not everyone's cup of tea and there's arguments for and against but I'd like to think it's an option. Just throwing it out there.
