  1. Probably choose a shop entrance on Northumberland St. Cold, miserable, wet and offside.
  2. Always more than welcome chaps, it needn't be 'one or the other'. Glad TT is back up and running again too, please keep popping back now and again it's always nice to stay in touch gents.
  3. This'll be the one where we agree the fee with the club first and he dicks about on personal terms or fails a medical or something equally ridiculous.

Maybe? There's so much contradictory misinformation out there that it's impossible to work out what's actually happened, it's a tough job trying to piece it all together but I think the general consensus it that he fancies it until the summer then he'll reassess, which is sensible. Even if he didn't fancy it though, I'd still expect Man U to agree to it and let the player make the final decision? The club's seems to be blocking it. Maybe they're going to actually play him?? Fuck knows

Yeah exactly I could understand it if he was playing regularly and they'd need to replace him but he barely gets any time on the park. Why not just cash in and move him on? Stubbornness? Greed? Something personal with Lingard himself? I just don't get it.

They're learning the hard way this window and it was always my fear. They're green as grass when it comes to the mechanics of signing players which is why the appointment of someone experienced was vital in Nov/Dec. It's not their fault totally, can fully imagine Sevilla and Lille have been tough to negotiate with but either the deals get done or they don't. And right now they're not. Still time though I suppose.

Sounds like a classic case of cutting off their nose to spite their face. He's on, let's say £80k a week, not starting, rarely coming off the bench and he's a free agent in 5 months. Why the fuck are Man U not taking circa £6m in a loan fee plus the £1.5m ish saving in wages for a player who's not contributing anything at all? They're genuinely prepared to block it? It's a £9m flounce
  8. Hew Jimbo, how's tricks chap?

If £38m is the final number and he's the one they're after then they just need to tip up and pay it at this point. We've been chasing him for weeks and it has to come to a head soon. We've clearly got a massive pile of cash waiting to be spent and there's no point saving for later, we need the players now, get the fucker in and get the deal done, fucking close it ffs.

Can't really blame him for not wanting to commit too much, from his point of view he's coming into a pretty sketchy situation as far as he's concerned. He wants to keep his options open and I don't blame him a bit, the move has to be right for all 3 parties.
  11. Right now there's about 100+ posters currently scratching their heads thinking 'what the fuck is going on??'
  12. Make yourself comfortable
  13. Always nice to hear from some top gentlemen again. Welcome lads
  14. Ahem... I think you'll find it's pronounced "Jarrah" mate.
  15. How much of their time can Levy waste do we reckon? I think he'd love to dick us about until the last 15 mins of the window.
  16. Pleased for him, he's a likeable bloke but he needed a win desperately and he got a fairly unlikely one just before the window ends. Points on the board, table looking healthier, still a week to get another 3+ through the door if possible in the next week. Bit of a break to rest and recover then straight back into it. Huge, massive 3 points today and suddenly everything looks rosier. Still need to push on from here though, it's a huge boost but still a massive job to stay up.
  17. And again. Gomes today
  18. Howe has inherited an utter shitshow but it's his job to try and fix it. I think everyone hopes he can and he certainly talks a good game but it's got to translate into results at some point. He was appointed to fix the problems, he either does or he doesn't. He's under no illusions and neither are the fans, another few shit results and he'll be struggling to hang on imo, which would be a real shame as I think he's a nice bloke with many qualities. I don't want him out and I want him to turn it around but something's got to happen soon.

I think the frustration is caused by the importance of this window. When they took over everyone knew instantly that the picture of the next couple of years was going to be decided on what happens this window, blind man on a galloping horse could see it. The only way we were going to avoid relegation was to buy our way out of it and this meant that Staveley had to be organised, well advised and perform well to get players signed, it's not down to luck. Signing players not a game of chance like a raffle or something like that. It's down to the scouting, the judgement, the negotiations and the ambition of the people doing the deals, it's not pot luck. We didn't sign Tripper because of good luck, it was an excellent deal and they put the work in to get done. However, as we speak they've only got 2 players in and that's not going to be enough. I'm not having a massive pop at them because I've got no doubt that they're trying and clubs are also being dicks - I get that. But the harsh reality of the situation is that they either do the deals, by hook or by crook, or we go down and the immediate future is Championship football. If they're not successful in the next 10 days then we drop, they know it and the urgency and impatience will only get worse over the next week on here and within the club.
  20. I've got a massive problem with people picking and choosing which rumours they believe and which they ignore. You can't just believe the ones you want to be true and disregard the ones you don't fancy, it doesn't work like that. The truth is probably somewhere between the 2 extremes and I personally don't trust a single one of these vague tweets and quotes from random as I don't trust them either. I tend to ignore pretty much everything reported on twitter and in the rags, it's invariably utter shite. It's far easier. When it happens it happens, until then it's bollocks.

It's 1st Jan and the only things NUFC have got is a big, stinking pile of Saudi money and a dogshit squad of players - that's it. Literally nothing else. Loads of cash and a threadbare squad. That massive pile of cash has slightly shrunk and we've now got Trippier and Wood. The squad should be better but it's still nowhere near enough to stay up and there's only one thing they can do with all of that cash and that's spend the fucker, on Carlos or whoever. Throwing money at the problem is the only way we possibly get out of this mess and if we throw enough of it then it might just work. There was pretty much zero talent on 1st January and now there's a bit more, still not enough. The fees we're paying don't really matter immediately as the pile is just unfathomably huge. Just get the players in, get the points on the board and stay up.
  23. Give them 10 just to make sure
