I'd like him to say goodbye. i'd like to know what he does/done first. for all we know he may have done his job OK......we just don't know
-
"up there" ? 4 points better off than us is hardly "up there"

In fairness to Micheal, he does have quite a good first touch. Eh? Owen's movement absolutely pisses on Oba's, even if his pace doesn't. i dont really agree there. owen's positioning pisses over oba's, but in terms of movement and offering midfielders options martins is far better. i don't really agree there, oba drops deep and shortens the whole game. his best games for us....only one this season(villa at home),are where he plays between the centre half and full back NOT when he is trying to help all over and NOT as he reverted to the game after playing between the centre halves. too many times the midfield get slagged off for holding on too long (cos no forward has made a move) or for playing it blind when no forward has made a move.

no it hasn't. admittedly he set a very high standard last season

i had wycombe in a bournemouth double. equalled out by a leicester/hartlepool double

smith has looked a whole lot better thsn last season

in general ...yes. personally (nufc)....no

In terms of specialist fullbacks I'd say in terms of getting forward he's not as good as Carr, Hughes & probably on a par with Griffin. Perhaps it is just the way he's being told to play, but if he reaches the half way line he just seems to get rid of it as soon as possible. Disagree with this even more after watching the NUFC TV highlights of last season from Birmingham (a) to Chelsea (h). Enrique is involved plenty up the park and looks absolutely fine, as does Beye. Completely opposite to this season like. My s**** memory forgot all of that, to be honest. fwiw beye hasn't looked as good as he was last season.

Don't forget the season ticket money. the club runs on nothing, all the monies brought in are purely for transfers and nothing else. Well, all the TV money, ticket sales and transfer fees gained from flogged players should at least allow us to have a higher net spend then 12 million??? Should it not. And what has happened to the Milner dosh? a) i wouldn't know b)probably in the club accounts with the other monies to be used for whatever, maybe jan transfers, maybe wages, maybe other general running costs, maybe even just sitting there so it makes the figures look good for the accountants supposedly going through the due dilligence. i very much doubt the monies are sectioned off in the way you appear to think.

As I mentioned before, it took Keegan at least a year to get Ferdinand when he was chasing him, and I'd imagine we'd be going for Warnock this January even if he was still manager. Didn't KK originally sell Cole as he thought we were going to get Sir Les a couple of weeks later? But then QPR went on a bad run so they wouldn't sell him till that summer? so the story goes.

i've gone for spurs aswell, with CSKA moscow for the double.

thanks chelsea thanks milan pair of twats

Chief engineer Peter French, from County Durham, is among 25 people being held on the Saudi-owned Sirius Star. Mr French was in good enough spirits to ask about Newcastle United's result at the weekend. "Excellent, that's a good score for us," ADVERTISEMENT he said when told his team drew 0-0 with Chelsea. He told ITV News last night the pirates had not mistreated the captives, and said he hoped to speak to his family again soon. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/nufc/39How-did-Newcastle-do39-asked.4730942.jp

I say its the endless running with his head down until he runs into a defender loses posession and the whole team gets caught on the counter. Or maybe the going to sleep at leftback costing goals regardless of his natural position. He doesn`t score many and for some reason like the rest of the team can`t take a corner or cross spectaculary. If we get good money I won`t mind at all. But again, that can be worked on and should of been worked on (Like it was with Ronaldo). I dont think he's had decent run where he's been in the position to score many goals. He's only had one full (ish) season to judge him from and that was in 2006, where he scored 5 goals, for a 20 year old winger in his fisrt season that isnt bad. The season after, he finds himself on the bench - behind Duff. I still havent heard anything fundamentally wrong with his game that will forever be a flaw to him, like a lack of pace (like Milner) or a severe lack of footballing intelligence (like Martins). the fundamental flaw in his game is that he isn't as good as some seem to think. for all you talk about a fundamental flaw you must also think he doesn't have any particularly outstanding qualities either. theres as much chance making a great player out of him through "working on things" as there is with milner. the comparisson with ronaldo is embarasssing. So you cant name one? I dont think he's amazing, i dont think he's anywhere near the same ability as Ronaldo but the comparison is valid. I think he has very good abilty on the ball and has a quality which not many players have and thats the ability to go past players with relative ease, couple that with better decision making and you have a very very good player. Do you think that ronaldo would be the player he is if he experinced the same path as Zog? The example with Milner is invalid on one basis and that is that Milner didnt have the pace to succeed in his position, he was also a terrible crosser which menat his lack of pace was magnified. John robertson is supposed to be a great crossing coahc at Villa, it'll be interesting to see if he can turn Milner into a better player and make up for his lack of pace. probably as a player with that talent would always have ended up at a top club. i've said often enough in this thread that he has no nouse,no footballing brain and i don't think that can be "worked on". he may improve but never enough for him to be anywhere near the player some think he is. With such a subjective question i suppose i cant tell you you're wrong to believe that, but i think you're wrong. Like i say, you think knowing when to pass and when to dribble is unteachable, i say players like Adebayor, Ronaldo, Henry, Terry, J.Cole, Fabregas have all learnt when to pass the ball etc. Henry is a perfect example of a player who had brilliant raw talent but was no way the player he was before he came to Arsenal and learnt to make better dcecisions, despite having ooodles of experience under his belt. Theres a reason why Arsenal are reportedly sniffing around Martins and Zog... henry didn't suit italian football, same as bergkamp. did you see henry for monaco in the uefa cup up here ? even then you could see how good he could be in a way that i've never saw n'zogbia. n'zogbia is good, can be better, but don't mention him in the same bracket as ronaldo or henry even for sake of example. So when he first played under Souness you never thought he'd be anything special? You always thought he'd be an ordinary player? You'll be a brave man to admit that- there are thousands of threads on Zog... when i first saw him play i thought he could be good, better than he's turned out but never an henry or ronaldo. i thought he could have reached solano at his peak standard. Is that the basis of your argument? That you think people think he could be as good as Henry and Ronaldo?? Not in a million years - that facts been reiterated by a lot of people but i do think that he has the ability to be a very very good player, one of the better players in the premiership. he has the technical ability, technically he is better than carrick in my opinion and the likes of park etc. but like those freestylers technical ability is nowhere near enough. he hasn't built on his promise and doesn't do well enough what 90% of football is....good enough basics.

i do that regular Glad at least I'm not the only one. It's hard to explain. On a game-by-game basis I'd say i get over two-thirds of them right, so I'm unsure why I don't get a 3 or 4 game accumulator right once in a while, it's plain worrying. How bizarre, how bizarre. i take fewer risks. quite often doubles coming in at even money, trebles similar as the longer shots didn't come in often enough. thought i'd bag both tonight mind but darlo let me down. the other ,lay villareal and kiev, back munich was my standard sort of bet and it keeps me in the black. It seems a good way of doing it. It's just the run I'm on at the moment, I'd hasten to put on a large stake, for a more likely win (i.e. double). Might try it next time though. my largest bet is 10% of my kitty. been up as high as £30 max. is now £18 max.
