was doing fine till citeh. cacapa good till the explosion faye dominant in the air, ropey on the deck beye juries out at right back looked ok today at centre half enrique ok till today taylor capable of better than he has been the defence.............................who can tell if the defending throughout the team is woeful. after a while lack of confidence will show itself in individual mistakes.
  2. Well this what I said 6 1/2 months ago and its all been a bit predictable. What do you class as efficient football then? where did "efficient" come from ?
  3. we stopped talking about england days ago we're now on about .................................ahhh now i see!

even from barton's day.....watch how many times he plays it in the right place there,as barton did and got crucified for,and then watch how many other teams use it as a good tactic. he's not helped by having n'zogbia outside. (not a rant against n'zogbia but i feel n'zog is best suited with an experienced full back to tell him where to position himself)
  5. not just the defence,it's the defending and how it is done throughout the 11

Kept Arteta in his back pocket the majority of the game against Everton. He's been good but today he was poor. Seems to be too clever for his own good sometimes and I think his lax passing and his poor final ball is down to the lack of movement from our players rather than just him being inaccurate. Aye fair point about the movement, but he needs to be overlapping N'Zogbia more. Whether that is an instruction from Allardyce I don't know - Geremi moreso seemed to treat the halfway line like a brick wall that he wasn't allowed to pass. quite often it's hard to overlap someone who is getting the ball too wide or is going inside........n'zogbia''s positioning is the worst part of his game. any full back playing behind him isn't going to form an easy partnership. Excellent point. Zoggy ruins every good thing Enrique tries to do. Never gives Enrique the return ball but instead puts his head down and dribbles into a defender thus losing the ball. Zoggy was disgustingly bad today. wouldn't go that far (in general, but today yes)but he should by now be playing with a bit more experience.
  7. another from today that i've just remembered. butt seemed to start on the right of a middle 3,then when we went 4-4-2 he went in the middle with emre........you'd expect emre to be the more advanced of the central 2 wouldn't you ?
  8. it's not overnight and it's getting worse.

each home game he's played till today (can't comment on the aways),played well but not outstanding. defended strong, hadn't been given a run around and looked for balls in behind the oppos full back and centre half that everyone else in the country plays to turn the opps defence but we can not do.
  11. our we going to just blame the defence for the defending ?

he's been ok this season....shite today
  13. it's cumulative and comes from all the weeks of shit tactics and formations. you have half a point, if we'd played well the last few weeks we may have got away with shit tactics in this isoltaed game, but week after week wears away at confidence teamwork.
  14. Regardless of tactics and formations the players should put in 100% every week, if it isnt working then fine, on the managers head be it, but how do we know the managers tactics arnt working if the players dont perform? Players turning on the manager and making the fans sit through non performances like today is unacceptable and the players should be ashamed. it's not effort, players can give 100% but if they don't feel right it doesn't come off,no lack of effort involved. alan smith gave 100% today You have to agree though mate, apart from Smith, Martins and Given, no one played like they wanted to be there today, as for Smith and Martins, they may have scored had they got even any service at all, we hadnt even had a shot on target today butt gave everything and beye till swamped. it does get to you,in any walk of life when you're being pissed around like that, you can still put the effort in but the results aren't great.
  15. they should have had 7 or 8 and didn't look a great side either

  17. all it says is the players are disgruntled...if you were a player in his team would you be disgruntled at his formations, team selections and tactics ?
  18. not behaving like children but being disgruntled about a manager who doesn't appear to want to get the best from them.
  19. if it's due to the tactics and formations the players are right.
  20. i'd doubt the training regime is what is pissing the players off. shit tactics and formations are a more likely source. are the players man enough to take this up with allardyce ?
  21. think we may have snatched a draw against the mackems today
  22. consider a thread title change to "sack, back or smoke the crack"
  23. The majority do, as was proven today. The likes of Howaythelads and NE5 have a louder voice on the message board than their mute presence in the real world. going slightly over the top aren't you. from my seat for everyone clapping someone else was complaining at the clapping while the majority sat and watched.
  24. How very zany of you to say so. if any manager is told there is an almost limitless transfer kitty then we can have almost anyone (it's the mourinho situation). is ashley prepared to do that and has he already put enough in ?
  25. Yep, it was all the fans fault. Get a f****** grip. i couldn't understand it either. didn't make any difference to the score but i don't like applauding the opposition during a game. i thought the crowd (12th man in the ultra's eyes) were supposed to encourage their own and try to put off the opposition.
