  1. Same as every other one at the minute. This place is slowly becoming s*** unfortunately it tends to follow the football and confidence about the club. the board is good when we are doing well but it gets catty and bitchy when we aren't
  2. i'd feel easier saying sack him if i felt confident in getting a suitable replacement
  3. keep him because of what other people would think ? Keep him because we need some continuity. They would be laughing because they would be right in thinking that our club and our fans are a joke. we've been a joke all season apart from everton, spurs at home and bolton away. you'll find the sides with continuity do it from a position of strength, not many clubs sack a manager who is doing well.
  4. I think any manager who has a postive approach to winning football matches and puts that ahead of pissing themselves to death at the thought of losing matches (transmitting that negative approach to the players) will improve the performances without spending a single penny. This is one area where he has totally off his own back given the game away. He hasn't re-adjusted to thinking big. not even thinking big,it's the basics.

  6. But surely so much (the medium to long term term future of the club) shouldn't hinge on so little (four fixtures, including two very challenging ones) I think you only have to look at the able though. If we do that poorly in our next 4 fixtures then I can see us being down to atleast 14th, 15th or 16th and after almost half the season you know your in trouble if you are that far down the league. the table doesn't matter. we could have had the results we've had and been OK with it. it's the manner in which those results have come about that is leading to the unrest

    Playing for 0-0...

big pay off after realising the job was too big for him
  9. Why'd you think that is? Some thing's that might be relevant: He had a long time at Bolton to instil those values within the fabric of the club. We've not had any of that for a very long time. Maybe it just takes longer than we think? aswell as planning for the future you have to remember the present. and continually sending out unbalanced teams is doing no good in the present. the better the present ,the better his plans for the future can be, what is sending out teams to get 0-0 draws at derby-reading-sunderland and, it now appears home games against anyone half decent doing for the present or future of the club. I'm not trying to defend any of that though. I'm just wondering why it is that Sam doesn't seem to be behaving like himself. plenty of managers have been "1 clubbers" who just couldn't re-create what they could do at another, usually bigger club.

I hope Tommy isn't still singing 'Little White Bull.' The last time I can remember seeing Tommy was outside the Green Market, he was pushing a barrow of fruit. Ha, was thinking about that song while I was reading the original post. i had it as my sig for a long time

  19. typical allardyce, plays me on the right when he knows i'm all left foot I'd be more worried about having GeJon behind you. mick, htl and ne5 through the centre aswell. It'll be Dyer and Bowyer all over again I've always thought of GeJon as more of a Le Saux type. well i don't want my backside getting le saux so i'd rather be on the left
