So given we've had no room to maneuver squad wise since early October and had to play players when unfit and for longer than we'd want in game after game first XI needed type games...... what would you suggest ?
-
He's not match fit, it's why he didn't start and Hudson-Odoi is no slouch.
-
Also think he was told to stop a lot narrower due to Longstaff being on the left.
-
Need to quote someone when you say that.
-
When we don't have 12 or 13 first team squad members out for months, I'll question him.
-
Does that mean Gordon didn't look better on the right or being mobile? In the 3-1 game up here I've no idea what his nominal position was but he was their only threat. Tonali would have take the pressure off by playing alongside. I swear they were meant to be a pair, not a two of a three.
-
Really ? The best I saw of Gordon at Everton was on the right. Tonali is far too good to be a rotation ffs and in Eddie saying close season we want to become more possession based. The 433 we are playing, which has served us well, we know its not going to get us where we want and our buying strategy says that
-
Do you think Barnes and Gordon were meant to battle for the one position ? Was Tonali merely meant to be a Longstaff upgrade ?
-
All of them ? It'll be like Waterloo.
-
To rest for who ? And if we had played Alex Murphy to put Schar on the bench for example and we'd got beat thus place would have been apoplectic. I'm all for resting players but you have to have others to bring in and beyond Tino for Trippier at Wolves it's pretty thin on the ground. Go look at our match day squads since West Ham.

Everyone could see that season after we were drifting and it wasn't coming back even though we finished in the same position, Similar to Sunderland with Reid, they didn't move him on and it was a disaster
-
Exactly. What's he expected to say ,
-
I would expect them to say we'd be nowhere near this point without him.
-
A set minutes applause for a player being a bit out of form is only good if its literally taking the piss and the player is hood to go with it, like Sir Les and Steve Watson being booed, otherwise its as cringey as fuck.
-
Players haven't had any grief in the stadium for a while (and I remember the stick Frank Clark and Tommy's Gibb and Cassidy got), its kept for online these days.
-
Could argue Brighton haven't crumbled because if what he put in place.
-
We'd have noticed them but they wouldn't have seemed so bad.
-
Just need to make the money purely merit based. Ie the winner gets the most and get rid of coefficients and seeding.
-
They aren't stupid. They will question why to everything. Why did we do so well last season ? Why hasn't it been replicated? Are tge staff "to blame" ? Can we get better management staff ?
-
I think it's up to the player and manager to gauge where he's at. Decent arguments can be made either way.
-
Nah, hyperbole is the worst shit ever. Does a pass become a better or worse pass depending on if it results in a goal ? Did the exquisitness of Willocks pass depend on Isak scoring ? Is it a lesser pass if Isak puts it wide ? It's why assists is a shit metric.
