Aye Burns English is getting better going by that quiz they had.
-
So easy to get round I'd expect. Hand over one phones data while hoarding another, even as far as getting a mate to place bets etc to get round financial data.
-
He did, he's growing in confidence. Technique with the ball at his feet was there from day one, then it takes confidence in his surroundings to be a bit more expansive. The defensive side, cutting off channels, interceptions, bumping players off balance etc will, hopefully come with experience.
-
Good VPN would get round that wouldn't it?
-
There is no goal like that. Its just whether we feel we are progressing Should we finish outside the Champs league spots but look unstoppable when he have a normal amount of players out over a prolonged spell then I'm OK with that.
-
His best football in Italy was centrally, as part of a 2 they won the title. Eddie says we need to have more control, we want Bruno to sometimes be able to get further forward. All points to him not being seen as a Longstaff upgrade.
-
We rested a good few in the Manchester cup ties.
-
He could have, he could have rested him in every other game and just wrote games off before KO, but he has the opportunity with his staff to monitor players, chat with them, almost every step they take is analysed. With having no ready replacement (Tonali suspension) it gets stretched. He did rest Trippier, ditto Gordon, then injuries come along and they get pressed into playing more. We aren't the finished squad and I've no problem with giving it a go. We knew the squad was small to push on 4 fronts but he did make wholesale changes, even rotated for the Champs league.
-
I still think that was the plan with Tonali.
-
Bruno is the one we can't replace and in that instance he didn't start, nor in the Man Utd cup game (some were even saying it was good management to give him 20-30mins in that game to keep him ticking over)......got to wonder why Haaland was even on the bench eh ? I think Eddie has tried, we DID rotate when we could, he HAS tried to cut minutes but the injuries have become overwhelming.
-
The plan was probably Tonali, Murphy, Barnes, Lascalles etc to help rotate rather than be out injured for months or suspended. Injuries to Burn, Barnes,Murphy, Anderson, Pope, Willock weren't down to too many minutes. Man City through years of unfettered spending on the first team and academy are possibly the only team that could get through what we have comfortably..... and even they are currently struggling by their own standards.
-
Pep started off with closer to what you'd class as his strongest XI than we did, then brought on Nunes, Foden and Doku. Fwiw Trippier stayed on the bench and Schar was on for about 2 mins
-
I'd guess the owners are clever enough to look at context, why are we on the run we are on etc and then to see what happens when we don't have so many players missing. Regardless of what happens in January I'd doubt Eddie's place is under too much threat and if they were to think it why rush in January, better to wait until the end of the season.
-
He did when he could given Willock was already out and Longstaff playing his way back after injury. Add in the heavy use of subs, like last season, it's not like the whole team was slogging through a full 90 for those 4 games which were a week apart.
-
What sort if background check would have found it ? And no body thought we were getting him mega cheap.
-
Looks absolutely gassed.
-
But do we do that and maybe hinder his developement if Murphy is back in 4 games time ?
-
First 4 games with a swathe of subs, I dont think anyone is too knacjered then? It didn't take knocks and injuries to play Barnes or Murphy, Longstaff for Tonali, rotating Isak and Wilson for league or Champions league was deliberate. I'll take him task for not taking Trippier off at Wolves and even that's with hindsight, but outside if that there's little he's been able to do.
-
He rotated Isak and Wilson right from the start, he switched Gordon Barnes, it's how Barnes got injured, he brought Murphy in at Milan to rotate Almiron, he didn't have Willock or Longstaff to rotate with, then Tonali gets suspended and Joelinton gets injured and has to play while unfit, Botman goes long-term.........but its all because he didn't pull Trippier out of a week, he doesn't rotate, rest or use the squad.
-
When was that ? Fucks sake look at our squads since the start of October ? We even started the season playing Tonali well before he was ready due to Willock and Longstaff being out.
-
It's not the defence, it's the defending and the entire team does that. Schar wouldn't be playing if Lascalles was able to start, Botman should be on the bench to be played back in but we have a small squad which we knew would take time to build. We probably started 5 or 6 players today who shouldn't have started or even played at all.
-
Look at last season, loads of in game rotation that we can't do this season through injury. It's pretty basic.
-
To be fair qlwe had a squad that shouldn't have gone down in the first place and should never have had a worry about getting promoted
-
Brighton done us similarly last season without scoring. Villa is similar, they tore us at their place, either side of us ripping them.
-
He played left to accommodate Miley and doesn't have the same rapport with Burn (who didn't look 100%) and Gordon. Longstaff himself didn't look 100%
