We have to take our chances, hopefully Slimani can. Thats at least 5 home games now we haven't won for want of a bog standard premier league striker. Shit man, a pemier league quality striker and no 10 we'd be thinking more Europa league than looking the other way. Kenedy best player on the pitch by a country mile, Diame best game for us even if he seemed to need a breather every 10 mins, Murphy should've been on at half time.
-
Surely we should be offering him back to Sunderland and even paying some of his wages aswell.
-
Jammy bugger, she was lush back then. Had a thing for Tiffany but Belinda was something else Debbie Gibson topped both of them though That I would've paid to see.
-
Possible Leicester would rather have sold him but just happy to get him off the books with it being deadline day. From the p,ayers point of view a loan works as he wouldn't be stuck here should we go down. How long has he been injured btw ? Just wondering if he'd have been playable had we signed him on New years day ?
-
So has old Hopey as well Be outstanding if they can wheel him out before the match and Kenedy plays, might give everyone a lift. Would be just like us to eventaully get a striker and he needs wheeling out.

Assuming it's not spitefulness as always seems to be shot down, all I could suggest is that he's accepted he won't get what he wants in a sale and is therefore gambling that Rafa's connection with the fans keeps him here and his managerial ability keeps us up. We're just about coping so far, it's not like we're cut adrift at the bottom of the league. So it probably seems like a decent bet. He then takes the unspent transfer and TV money to top up whatever he gets from the sale, cuts and runs. My thoughts exactly Yip.
-
He probably thinks if we get relegated it'll be like the previous two. I think he'll be in for a shock should we go down again. Fwiw if he doesn't sell up even if we stay up be prepared for a huge drop in attendances.
-
He comes here, we think " he'll be out injured all the time" He goes to West ham or West Brom, we think "oh We'll, that's them safe"
-
Even if this comes off I'd still want another striker given Sturridges injury record. On the 0lus side I've wanted him here since he was at Bolton.

The few Manc fans I know that aren't archetypal Mancs aren't at all enamoured with Jose like.

How would VAR have helped there? Really ? what you don't think the fella on the Vars would have brought it to the refs attention that he got the rules wrong ? I would have thought that the 4th official or one of the two linesman would have done that, to be fair. Very true, still baffles me how none of those officials on the day never said anything to the ref. To get a fundamental rule wrong was amazing really. Fundamental rule. Really ? For all I knew the ref made a bollix that night I also learned some other rules surrounding it.

You don't even have to go that small; throw-ins and corners are disputed many, many times in every game. And yet both can lead directly to a goal (in the case of throw-ins, consider long throws, or quick throws to bypass the offside rule). So do we check throw-ins and corners with VAR before they are taken? Only go back if they lead to a goal? How far back? Better Still an innocuous foul could lead to a booking which could be a second yellow. Will that be reviewed. Will a second booking for time wasting be reviewed to see if he really was hobbling etc.

You do in Rugby League which is a rapid fast flowing sport, as it is without rucks and mauls, and it's no worse for it. Even if the ref gets decisions wrong, as in offside or knock ons. Those decisions stay as they are, no need for Football to be any different imo. Isn't that a bit daft though. Bring it in for some decisions but not others.?

Nah. More that in a lot of cases it doesn't clear anything up (that pen for example) then the whole idea of the occasions during the game on which it's used.

Nicolai Jorgensen to stay at Feyenoord

We'd be having to pay 50% of his wages minimum. We'll be hoping for a Turkish or German club taking a punt. -
I'm not even sure about that. The penalty, well there was a pull, was it enough to send him to the floor, I doubt it. Seemed like he realised he wasn't reaching the cross and ooh there's contact I'm hitting the deck.

You know when Rafa said he wanted the transfer dealings done by the 20th. I think Ashley thought "I can beat that, I'll have it done by a minute passed midnight on New years day"

Hmmmm I'd say he was pretty effective when he played but rarely played due to the insistence on playing one up front. He scored 1 goal in 6 months and got dropped for Daryl Murphy. Awaiting Optimistic Nut's reply..... Exactly. Rafa knew he could't rely on Mitro to finish, the amount of times we were all frustrated at him missing quite straight forward chances was unacceptable. If he was effective he would have got way more game time, unless Madras thinks Rafa was a fool for not using him more. Pretty sure he complained most of last season for us not playing 442 all the time. He started 11 games. Changed the game against Norwich when he came on, played in our best performance and just because I don't think 4-2-3-1 got the best out of the squad in that division and I still don't. I wouldn't have went 4-4-2 all the time, you'd be a bit of a mug to use the same tactics and formation against very opposition. We finished top and Rafa isn't a mug. We should've strolled it, could have aswell. Rafa's a mug ? Na!He's changed his tactics this season, unfortunately it takes results to go against us for him to do it. You do know if you are so much better than the opposition you can get things wrong and still win doncha ?

7 ? So they've put a new bid in lower than the first. The Ashley/Charnley school of Football ownership seems to have it's first graduate

Someone slip him another "n" please.

is.

Torres?? "Experienced". How old were Torres and Aguero when they come to EPL? And Gameiro? They were both 23 and had made a combined 400 appearances for Atletico, so aye, I'd say they were experienced players. You know what he means man. You'd assume it's easier for a 23yr old to adapt his game in what is supposed to be a more physically demanding league than a 30yr old.

If that is true then it suggests that the deal is dead because of Ashley is moving the goal posts again then he’s not wanting to sell. Or He's willing to gamble on holding out for more.
