He'll be their next manager when Britton gets the sack soon Swansea are making waves in the industry, join our club as a youth and within 5 years you'll be sitting at the top desk as manager. Isn't Britton only caretaker and says he doesn't want it ?
-
A few seasons ago we played them at home in the league cup and were drawing 0-0 and they brought David Silva on and he completely changed the game. Even though he was only on the pitch for a short period of time it was one of the best individual opposition performances I can remember at SJP it's an idea for when we have a long break, FA cup 4th round weekend maybe, create a team consisting of the best individual performaces for and against.

He was injured apparently, but the rumours are that he’s going to be recalled and the either loaned out or sold to a team higher up in the Championship. So not Birmingham or Bolton then ?
-
You could take "Brighton" out of that post and replace it with most of the bottom half.
-
I can respect the team easy enough. They are very good and exciting to watch. What I cantcrespect is their fan base which has been historically poor and they now go on as if they've earned their good fortune with such a lack of humility or historical perspective which even Chelsea have.
-
Would be just like us to get something here as we all know what would happen if they were on 17 straight defeats. The only thing I'm not expecting is a narrow defeat. We'll get something or take a pounding, nowt in between.

Speed isn't everything though I Think hebshoykd bebgivr more of a chance. I was just about to ramble the same thing Oh come on you know what I meant to put. Typing in the dark while watching the tele and pissed....pretty much as now!

It was a great free kick. One that when we score it's great but if we concede the same then the keepers crap.
-
Would have been f***ing ace in with that lot today. Don't know how it come over on screen but our lot sounded great on the radio. La La La La Geordies rendition coming over particularly well and the goals sounding like goals for the home team.
-
Great and much needed win. Strangely thought we'd still do it after hitting the woodwork and even felt confident they wouldn't score the pen but my God it's horrible listening to the radio those last few minutes when they are saying the balls in the box. For those there or able to watch you can see if it's dangerous but for those poor buggers listening (I'm at work) you just imagine 2 defenders against 5 forward type scenarios.

Pulis record at WBA was shocking yes and he rightly deserved the sack, anyone no matter who you are if you have that kind of record you deserve the sack...Mourinho,Van Gaal,Ancelotti have all been sacked too for s*** records Rafa takes 1 point from f***ing 27 though and hes absolved of all blame on all counts Yes we are a championship team and f***ed up majorly in the summer because of such tight restraints but the players we did buy are absolute garbage and a complete waste of 30m quid and this lad Kenedy will be no different. Tart it up all you like but 1 point from 27 is a sackable offence imo Has Merino died and I missed it? Or does he just not fit your agenda? 1 out of 6....great Stop deflecting from the fact that your posts read like a daily mail comments section, by only mentioning the facts that support your agenda. For what it's worth: Atsu- perfectly good team player for the money Murphy - really needed proven not potential but the only bright spark out of the bad run. Suspect influence from above on that as potential profit maker Lejeune - yeah not been great. Might come good, who knows. Plenty of players have had horrific 1st seasons and then adapt. De Gea was a joke 1st season, Pogba average. Others - bargain basement that didn't come good. Merino - excellent, wish he'd never got injured. Fairly sure with him and Lascelles fit we wouldn't have tanked. Also bare in mind that you don't sign players in order of need ("we need a forward primarily so we shouldn't consider our other weak positions till we adress this" ?), you try to build a squad with what you think you are going to get. I wonder which of those players he thought "I'm going to be playing him in the majority of games"

We aren't really as Man city proved and remember Staveley was heavily involved there. Things can be done before everything is official. Wouldn't there need to be some sort of unofficial agreement in place for that to happen? I don't really see how we can offer terms to players when the deal is still not even agreed behind the scenes. Might well be we can only go forward assuming Ashley's still the owner until that happens. Yes and we still have just under a fortnight till the window opens for that sort of agreement. It's not as if we have to wait for everything to be 100% official before we can make any moves.

Ashley knows Staveley can agree a deal in principle and his money wont be at risk in the January window (Man City style) even though the deal wouldn't officially go through till after January so as fo now they can both sit tight and see who blinks. Should we get further into January I think Ashley may get a little nervy about his investment and a small increase from Staveley could clinch the deal.

Not just sendings off but I'm struggling to think of any major game changing decisions that have went our way since then, ie goals allowed that shouldn't have, disallowed that should have stood, blatant penalties we've got away with, blatant non penalties we've been awarded etc. The only thing close I can come up with is Yedlin staying on at Southampton. (It was Southampton wasn't it ?......it was Yedlin wasn't it)

Haven't Man Citeh and PSG proved that if you have money the rules can be shimmied round ?

I'm kind of with htt. I'm only still going to the match because Rafa is there, I thought he'd have more strength to work against Asley and I don't think any takeover would be in the offing with a Pardew/Allardyce type mamager in charge. I just find htt's first sentence to be a bit contradictory and even neutral fans are starting to comment on us becoming RBFC in our support, which is a bit creepy.
-
OK. You may want to put it in the thread title mind. Rafael Benitez, beyond criticism.
-
Fair enough. I think if another manager was making those decisions you'd be going mental. I know he's been sold short by Ashley and the squad is well short but think Rafa isn't using it to the best. Hey ho!
-
I'm noted for having a go at Rafa (I prefer to see it as speaking up against Rafa can do no wrong orthodoxy from some on here) but what is his record like bringing yong players through. I genuinely have no idea.
-
All season ? I said the last six weeks. Would you play Joselu and Gayle up front in a two given the squad we have ? Do you think Mbemba has been better at left back than Manquillo ? Do you think he allows tactics to go on too long when we can all see problems in games ? What do you think of his subs ? Rafa hasn't tried everything and some of what he has has been bizarre.
-
Yeah I just want two up front, even Colback and Saivet providing its two up front.
-
All season ?

Mbemba has been better at left back than Manquillo. He's by no means the answer but while thats what we haveyou have to pick the one that plays best. He may not rate Mitrovic but I'm at a loss to see why he'd play Joselu instead of him in a two up front. He can't rate Joselu better based on what we've all saw.
