  1. Am I the only one that thinks these convivial talks (and the logic that both parties probably want this concluded so work could be done during the transfer window) could well be a sign that things may be more advanced than we've been lead to believe ?
  2. "...All but ready". Doesn't that mean he's not ready ?
  3. I think Ashley must be taking the offer seriously after all the f*** ups he's made with the club. Yet again we are looking like being in a relegation fight without big spending. This could be his best chance to get his money out for years. Can't see him getting as good a chance to make a profit. If he doesn't take it Ralfa leaves, many fans do and another relegation will not be like the previous two as there were little alternatives back then. This time we have a potential new owner and Ashley can get out with a profit. If this didn't come off NUFC will be unrecognizable in 18months . Even below the early 80s which was the lowest on my lifetime.
  4. The Napoli fans weren't to miffed at him going iirc . Surprising considering he improved them so much ?
  5. One of them will blink. No need to go all in yet as we retain some surplus value while they we can use the window, also Ashley knows he'll never get a chance to offload us for a profit if he waits too long.

May be wrong but I don't think they've had a top 6 finish in the top flight since before Neville Chamberlain had a piece of paper in his hand.
  7. Aye, I'm sure he'd sell if he was offered a daft sum, but he seems happy enough to hang on if he doesn't and continue to use the club as a branding tool for SD. That's a far cry from someone who wants out as we are led to believe. In the current market, £250m for a PL Newcastle United with Rafa Benitez is quite cheap. If that is the offer on the table, I’m unsurprisinged that he hasn’t accepted it. PCP need to up their offer, not the other way around. 250ml in the current market etc...show your workings out ? The playing staff alone would be worth £140mish (based on the values set by TransferMarkt), throw in the stadium, training facilities and all other land and goods owned by NUFC and you can easily see how the figure can rise. What is the value of Rafa to NUFC? The academy? The potential of the club...? Etc. How many interested parties do you think are out there interested in handing Ashley closer to what he wants? None. But would you sell your house because someone has offered £100,000 less than the asking price and you haven’t got any other offers? Depends how much I actually thought it was worth and if there were any variables round the corner ie Transfer window which may make someone to early or equally May make them back off.

  10. As described by someone else but it makes sense...... He's like the owner of a vintage car that needs doing up. He knows done up it'll be worth a lot more than it currently is but he doesn't want to have to pay to do it up but wants to sell it taking onto consideration what it COULD be worth. With nowt to go on (no, not like that bull dyke hair'd little mackem)I think this is the sticking point.
  11. Ryder. If that's the answer I could have asked "Who's to say it isn't Tuesday ?"
  12. Of a decent standard, no way he'll get 3 for £20m. Maybe we'll sell Mitrovic or Gayle to top the funds up a bit. 17million Striker and 3 1million loans.
  13. Just for the fun of it, who's to say a bid hasn't been made, accepted and they are now working on the other stuff ?

Quarter finals wasn't it ? Anyway, I know someone Who, when studying in Middlesbrough, climbed over the wall of Ayresome park and had a crap on the centre spot. However, there wasn't a game on at the time!

Thinking about it for a bit it's wrong to label a group because of the actions of one. Like we aren't all horse punches. However there was the Sunderland train station shitter, on that site there's the story of someone having a crap in a pint glass and leaving on the bar in a club over there and I'm sure there's was stories of someone crapping on the concourse at that ground aswell as in the away end when they played here. Begs the question of whether it's an issue for them ?

It's because they are the public shitting, relegating, nonce playing, rubbish strewing, Mag obsessing, home hating RECORD BREAKERS.

That haircut is quite the rage on Wearside at the minute. Happened to pass through on the train yesterday and that seems like the cut of the choice among the younger of the species.
  20. The same people ? I think you're going to have to name names here like cos I smells B.S..
  21. Saw it happen for real in the 80's, maybe late 70's on the Gala field Newbiggin Hall. Bloke sent off for the Hall or Mede. Came back 5 mins later in his car to chase the ref round for a bit then drove through a goal taking the net.
  22. You'd use the same tactics for Chelsea away as you would Swansea at home ?
  23. Oh and if we don't have a player to play ten, why play systems that heavily rely on one ?
  24. What? He’s about 3st wet through. Hence the bold. He's not fat obvs, he's just heavy legged at the weight he's currently at. You sacrifice speed of movement the more weight you put on Even with the part in bold, it’s still utter nonsense (not what you said above, but in relation to Perez specifically). That he bulked up? He absolutely did from first joining us. Rafa is arsed about players like Mitro doing it and his game relies on literally no pace. You said that he’s now slower and therefore not as good due to being heavier than his ‘natural weight’, which is the part that is nonsense. He’s not as good because his initial period with us was a purple patch and since that period he’s been the average footballer that he actually is. Your post above also contradicts what you are saying, if Rafa hates players bulking up, then why does he consistently pick Perez? That is also based on what Hardy said, which is questionable. I don't really care if you think its nonsense iah. He picks Perez as shown in recent matches we are absolutely w*** without him and we don't have a single player who can play ten? He also dropped him. It's questionable if you don't have a clue how science works maybe, but extra weight = slower movement hardly rocket science Merino can play ten.
