Playing wide of a middle 3 he may get away with it a bit, closing down wingers and the like but not in central midfield. Think it would help if he had Sissoko and Wijnaldum in front of him instead of Colback, don't particularly think it's perfect but i don't see a better alternative of our current group. Fully fit Tiote maybe, even Colback before Anita in that scenario. Get what you're driving at though.

swap thauvin and aarons over and put Perez in the middle till De Jong is up to speed. I'd rather go with Wijnaldum and Sissoko behind them than what he currently have there. (and yes I know it will look purely like playing your best players rather than trying to build a team, just been none too impressed with Colback or Anita)

Can't see Thauvin being brought in as a squad player so, assuming we aren't going 4-4-2, he'll play wide right of a 3 in a 4-2-3-1 and I don't think Moussa would cut it in the two. fwiw I do see Wijnaldum dropping into the two when he's up to speed with the premiership and De Jong is fit. Could see Sissoko taking the advanced CM spot through the middle and Wijnaldum dropping in with Anita. Thauvin wide right, Aarons wife left when he loses patience with Obertan. Could be very effective. Would you not want someone with more of and eye for goal than Moussa to feed off Mitrovic ?

Great call HTT on Bernard by the way. Of the three I want to put Beresford first because he was in the better team but it's too close to call. Enrique was better defensively than both but nowhere near as good on the ball (it's why he never got a national call up).

I was always more pissed off at his dragging it to the bye line and not being able to get it back. I'd rather he had dragged it in and shot more.
