Wouldn't actually, oh wise one. Doubt you'd actually throw yourself under a bus for Mitrovic oh wiser one. I just mean it's a similar sort of emotion, the up and down of things.

He got it spot on. At first I thought it was the wrong call, BT's computerised angle, and MOTD last freeze frame show that he was just off. On MOTD they were saying how th advantage should be with the attacker yet referee's and linesmen are taught to call it offside if your not 100% sure. Bit like the pens V southampton, they got the right decisions but I'm buggered if I know how, from the angles they had and having to be sure etc. Been very impressed with the officiating in general so far this season (bar the Liverpool Bournemouth game which was a joke)

I took it as this window, next (January) then next Summer.
-
You'd also throw yourself under a bus if we sell Sissoko/Perez to offset the spending. Still a week and a bit left, could go either way.
-
Fair enough yeah agree with that, what's happened this summer should be all rights be happening every summer not be seen as some sort of special total of investment. It's only been so big because we needed it to survive. Sounds tired but next couple of windows will tell if we've changed in recruitment.

He has in a way, paying the going rate and not constantly looking for cut price deals is a change in direction. Don't think he'll go as far as we need mind and I don't expect this window to be a regular thing. Not squabbling over fees is the only difference, we're still not really recruiting players to plug gaps in our squad. If we buy a physical centre half and a defensive utility player I will categorically stop moaning for at least 10 minutes. Totally agree with the centre half, after Anita's performance today I'm not squealing so loud for the centre midfielder.

He has a bit of a point. He was quiet last week due to us not having the ball, this week he had a very quiet second half for the same reason. However in both games he showed quality on the rare occasions he had the ball and put in a shift defensively.
-
He was a weak link today, but good grief this self-righteousness There's a point there though. Many people watch football and they only see what happens in that space where the ball is. If Colback makes the occasional sliding tackle or block they think he was awesome. They don't see the bigger picture, how the players move without the ball, how and when they press the oppososition or when they take a step back and fall back to formation. It's sad but true. Anita does many things well that the average football fan doesn't ever see so they don't appreciate it. Isn't that a bit big headed, "I see things in a game many others dont" ? fwiw I've backed Anita, loved his tempo and such but has been poor when he's had his channces. Today seemed liked he'd came to grips with the premiership, purely IMO.
-
Aye, thought it was a typical Colback performance, lots of running around BUT constantly out of position and making boring/safe passes Wasn't looking to pick the ball up off the defenders and letting his man face him up much more than usual. Don't get the boring passes bit when aimed at him.. Can't remember many occasions when there were better options. Same goes for Anita on that score.

He was worse today than usual.

Is he? Fat c*** looks like he's running through treacle half the time. Still think he's by a country mile the dullest 'wonderkid' I've ever seen be hyped up. Yeah I've been thinking this, never been impressed with him or the Callum kid at Arsenal. Seems like "Southampton have a 17yr old in the first team....err £20million" at times.
-
oh no we didn't. Saw him run twice and give the ball away and almost get on the end of something. He showed little but given the time he had and the situation thatsok.
-
tbf I think it's like some have said, they had no aerial threat from open play and little pace running at them.
-
was he trying to punch it ? thought his arms were by his side, torpedo style.
-
amazing what a bit of confidence in those in front of you can do for a keeper.
-
You make him sound like Ginola, and that would be just... Just.. .Peachy! tbf to make him sound like Ginlola the post would have included some "how did he do that ?", a few "just giggled when he done that" and several "wow"s

I would after today and I was totally against us lining up that way. I hate seeing players doing well and getting dropped just because another player comes back unless the player coming back is a player you can't do without. Know what you mean but I just don't know. I'd like Taylor in against Giroud but want Janmaat to get forward,Colo's reading of the game needs to be there for the way Arsenal play. Nice to have choices! (And Williamson never mentioned once in those posts)

Is that a first, the fourth official over ruling the on pitch officials as thats the way it sounded ?
-
My worry is the difference in defensive performances in one week. Can't see coaching/tactics making thaqt much of a difference so quick. Was it more the players mindset thinking "Oooh it's Old Trafford, got to be up for it" but unable to be up for it at Swansea (still want to call it the vetch)
-
I agree but don't rule out Perez for the slot you've put De Jong in.
-
ran with it and easily caught and dispossessed ?
