the only daft moments I remember were necessary. the diving header clearence after taking a blaster off the head and the dive to try and bloke hernandez when Krul saved. He actually played very well today, more concerned about his staying fit than his capabilities as a back up centre half.

This is what I'm seeing most games, he always seems to be just off the screen where the action is happening unless the ball comes right at him. Nowt wrong with that if taking up good positions, blocking opposition movement etc. Didn't seem to do that today.

Completed 25 of 28 passes. I didn't see the first half but was good in the second IMO as was Anita Shows how different people view the game as I thought he completely disappeared in the second half. The game played round him.

MotM for me today. He's never shown enough to make me think he can play in a 2, today he played in a 1 (defended Colback in the past, today he was terrible). The way he came in behind and round players recieving the ball was what you need in there. very sharp and decent on the ball. Really hope this is him coming to terms with the premier rather than a one off.

The pl it's very difficult thauvin as cabella not muscular But it's very good vs obertan The physicality thing's a concern I suppose but he doesn't look any/much more slight than HBA and there are other relative waifs that have done well in the PL if good enough. I think a left back is more realistic to be honest. I can't see colo being dropped right away and I can't see a new centre half sitting on the bench. I agree, Colo signing the new contract must have ruled out any move for a cb, which is a shame because the weakness in the air is all too apparent in that department.
