    Chancel Mbemba

He knew exactly where Fellaini was, that's why the exaggerated use of the arm and yes it was a pen .
  2. If rioters could produce regularly what he did last night and against Arsenal we'd be looking to shift Colback or Anita. His last 2 games have been far better than the best the other two have put out.
  3. Saw him in Fenwicks not long after he really broke into the first team, going up the escalators as I was going down...........then saw him going down as I was going up. I'd looked at him first time and thought that's Pav. I shrugged my shoulders at him and as we passed and said "I'm lost", he shrugged and said "Me too". Saw him in the New Rendevous at Darras Hall when he was playing for Sheff Wed (he still came up here loads), my wife has always had a thing for him and we had to shuffle everyone round so she wasn't just sitting there staring at him. What a horrible day, Lemmy, may not like his music that much but was a nice guy judging by all I've read (before his death, not just the lick arse obits), same go's for Guru Josh, John Bradbury and a friend. Next year is a leap year, could we keep Feb 29 and get shot of Dec 29 and stick an extra day in the year after.
  4. What an utterly pathetic thing from a grown adult. Every time a player flings themselves to the ground like that even when actually fouled, they should be banned for half a season What I couldn't understand though was the difference in reaction between that and Vardy's throwing himself to the deck to get the free kick in the first place, even to the point that the pundits claiming it was good play, the little glance to see the defender coming in, both threw themselves to the deck needlessly, only one gets slagged off, I wonder why ?
  5. Think that might have been Hooper? The same game when we went straight up and scored? [emoji4] There was a 3-3 at home to Spurs that a few people I know say was the best game they ever saw in terms of entertainment. that wa s Hooper I think. Remember Pav made a save v Liverpool at the gallowgate, shot took a huge deflection about the pen spot and he reached it in the other top corner, joint best save I've seen live.
  6. Much rather a minutes silence than applause. I'm old fashioned and the minutes applause seemed like it only came in after the farce of the princess Margaret silence. Any Pav stories, everyone seemed to meet him. Got a couple but will post when drunker and not on phone. A friend passed away this morning so all in all a shite day.
  7. As much as I rate Perez, right now, I think Wijnaldum would be better in that "off the front man" type position. Given that we have to play Mitrovic, may aswell play Thauvin to try and supply and at least be a body out left.
  8. Mitro came on and did what he needed and sorely lacked. He brought long balls down, he distributed and moved us forward, he attacked and pressed and forced their back line to play on their toes a bit more, he stood up to Walker and Alli when they were being t***s...he scored the equalizer when I've seen us not shove that in and he had a huge hand in the winner. He's got all the talent and technical ability too IMO. A good few times he barged in front of a defender to win and retain long high balls . We have to learn to try and use that rather than leaving him to it.
  9. So, let's see if I get this straight, when we can be arsed we can be decent and get points , quite often, for some reason, we don't give a shit and it's obvious for all to see ? I started watching NUFC in the early 70's....nowts changed!
  10. Very Chelsea, all the people are white.
  11. Asian handicap market yet to appear on betfair for this match. I'm getting antsy.
  12. Not that easy a question. More like how would they have got on without Lee/Speed/Batty inside, Shearer/Ferdinand/Asprilla up front, Bersford/Barton etc behind.
  13. I was a cheerleader for him even before we signed him, face facts he wasn't good enough at this level. Not just this style as he didn't cut it in Italy and now isn't cutting up rugs in Lyon. Sometimes players fulfill their potential very early then spend years going backwards on their names.
  14. Think of his header off the bar at Old trafford, his close header that raised the crowd V Chelsea, think how much we've gave him a chance. Instead we drop Anita to right back when we have the ball so Janmaat can play right wing seemingly in order to allow sissoko to come inside and keep him happy and leave us actually a man short in the middle. Seems like no matter who the manager is he's trying to keep certain players happy.
  15. you can, but can't if you're going to give him no supply or support. His age and experience counts for fuck all if he doesn't get supply.
  16. I know who you're getting him mixed up with but it's annoying me that I can't remember his name. EDIT: Anthony Van Der Meyde or Pat Van den Hauwe for us older dudes.
  17. Alternatively we start winning games in which we are the better team (also get refereeing decisions that go by the rules).
  18. not so sure about today's ref. 4 or 5 occasions we had breaks on and deliberate fouls/pull backs stopped them. These are always immediate yellows..... Not today, culminating in the blatant, no attempt at the ball, purely to stop the break foul on mbemba near the end. Again, free kick, no card and no reason for them to stop doing it. It was blatant, but why not if you can get away with it? I Agree, just why do we get done for it and others don't and isn't it basic, craps officiating. Not blaming stoke for it btw.

Fletcher also managed a running elbow on someone and not even a word. Yet the ref gleefully ran over and brandished a yellow to Tiote. It's not that Tiote shouldn't have been booked, it's just that it didn't look like he'd book a Sunderland player, even if one of them were to have literally walked over and punch someone. Tiote was booked because the ref has spoken to him previously after his first one. No problem with that. Do have a problem with the ref then pointing out to Cattermole all his fouls and doing nothing.

Impossible to even judge a referee's performance from a fans point of view. It can be, however all the non nufc or safc fans I've talked to said we'd been mugged by the ref. A few saying they'd seen performances like that but crap decisions given both ways, rarely with the bias shown. In particular the red (obviously), Cattermoles tackle on Colback, and laughingly in a couple of cases, the ref pointing out to Cattermole all his fouls and STILL not booking him.
  22. Meanwhile the top teams form a bonfire circle around the ref on the regular with no risk of punishment. When is the f***ing corruption scandal going to finally break. Jesus I can't wait. There will be no corruption scandal. That's not to say there isn't any corruption though. According to the secret footballer, he talked to a referee and the referee said that Scudamore once told them“And, remember, you’re not in a sport, you are part of the entertainment business. We don’t want our top players being sent off every week because it’s bad for the brand. We want them on the pitch as much as possible.” For some reason nobody seems to care about this That's spooky as I'm sure I've posted similar on here before, from two sources in different parts of the country. The week after I was told this, Rooney kicked out 10yds from the ball at Swansea, yellow card, the one thing it couldn't be. It's either, the ref didn't see it or it's red. Obviously that wasn't the case on Sunday but it was a case of a referee desiding "I'm helping you and fucking you and there's sod all you can do". and it was obvious after 10mins.
  23. I don't know what's gonna happen. One week I'm certain we're going down, the next I'm confident we'll stay up. On balance I think we're more likely to stay up, but I say that without any conviction. We are almost 33% the way through the season, if you can't make up your mind now then you never will. Is your mind made up ?

Wrong, because then you'll have teams walking off when they are in the wrong. However after the match, after watching issues again, if the manager says "Stuff any fine, that was pathetic, beyond a mistake, so bad I'm thinking it's maybe corrupt"....that may make the authorities sit up if the manager has the evidence to go with it.
