that bad it's already gone ?
  3. to be fair it was only really last january, many go on like it's the only placed we've looked for years. last summer it was the netherlands for our only signing, de jong and de wiel (if the rumours were true). True but I can't help but field the management will think we're on to a good thing and focus solely on this when as many other teams have proved there are bargains/clever buys to be had all over, home and away. agree in a way but more they'll look at value markets (france, belgium, netherlands etc) as opposed to germany, italy, spain. Is Spain not one of the biggest value markets going given the clip of nearly all the teams? Think we're limited us natural size size, management influence aside, buying from 1 league too. Not too mention the natural sidelining of non-Francophone speakers. probably, just seems there's more french bargains in the prem.

clubs on the up with plenty of money, i thought you'd been talking about getting top jobs, liverpool, man utd, arsenal etc ? I've barely been involved in the conversation, I made one comment that there's no reason why he couldn't have ended up somewhere like Liverpool after us. Are you sharing the same bed as Neesy this week? What the f*** are you on about? I asked why the face and you just skipped over it. Full-on WUM Stu is back. likewise, i've hardly posted in here of late, just pointing out that it seems indicative the type of clubs he went to.

yet in our next euro tie, Metz, after drawing 1-1 over there we were disjointed and sluggish till tino scored twice very late on (the night of his waving his top from the corner flag). we could esaily have gone out as they had the better of it, robert pires particularly at our place. the idea that keegan would have thrown everything to at them to get the result isn't real, the way we limped out in bilbao aswell. he gave us some great times, probably the best football i've witnessed in my time but some people like to make myths from the reality.
  8. pretty much. don't know what wages he's on but wouldn't be too miffed if he stayed on as a squad player but won't be unduly worried when he leaves.
  9. and for all he i'm pleased we strengthened that position I always thought simpson took more stick than was warranted.

On a serious note, wasn't his next job Fulham in division two? I think within footballing circles keegan was seen as being too high maintainance.

so di canio admitting we are bigger than them, that'll go down well over there. from here http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/sunderland-will-be-bigger-than-you-paolo-di-canio-warns-newcastle-8570664.html

didn't someone say he does a lot of gym work when out injured ? wonder if he bulks up then out then burns it off when in more cardio type training.
  15. I don't think there's been a derby win in my lifetime thats went against form (maybe one, the play off), one or two draws but not enough to make the line anywhere near plausable. We have the better team, the better form and that is normally the guide as to the winner. Agree re Cabaye mind.
  16. "I know a mackem tackem he is from down our way I know he is a mackem because his eyes nearly popped out while giving fascist salute and he believes in a totilitarian dictatorship" "your support is fascistic"

A few people around me got a few warnings, they eventually stopped when one of the lads at the front got his taken off him. He got it back later but they clamped down on it for a while. the question was "when".
  18. Aye. The offside goal he scored at Wigan where he got injured...have we ever seen Simpson in a position like that? Was brilliant. have we seen debuchy play a ball like the one to sossoko ? aye, I know over the top but simpson hasn't been bad since he's had to play for a livelihood.
  19. dog walk, huge brekky with a beer or two, out for 10.
  20. Dortmund are a blueprint for any team that you don't need to be spends 100s of millions to be successful. They are not just fantastic on the pitch but off it too, i wish more would try take a similar stance when it comes to running a football club. Very happy they went through, but credit to Malaga for a great tournament (God, this post reads like a post-Wimbledon men's single interview full of platitudes "Roddick had a great tournament, and I'm sure he'll come back stronger next year..."). Hope Dortmund go all the way. maybe somebody can help me here but it seems (or maybe it's just one or two but i've picked up on it) that a few of the youngsters they've brought through haven't just came through the ranks but are locals ?
  21. amazing how many people, including officials, don't understand that bit of the rule.

i've heard if they smash Northern rails trains up like they did on the way to boro a little while back then there won't be trains for them to get back on.

That line of thinking extends to absolutely everything they do and every decision the club make, for most of their fans. Giving Wes Brown a massive contract, hiring a fascist as manager are just two tremendous decisions to mention. They don't do grey area or subtlety, mags bad, sunlun good. Stupid f***ing c***s. they have a papisse cisse thread which is hilarious for it. the rumour starts he's coming over to sign for them, pages of "gerrin", "juat what we need" etc, then after a few pages it's posted that he's coming here and you can literally see the change, "he's shite anyway", "not be able to do it in the premier". he went from great to shit in about 2mins purely because of where he wasn't go and now where he was. they really have no objectivity where we are involved.
