  1. Milner - No pace, struggled to beat his man and put in woeful cross after woeful cross at our gaff. Now he's on his way to the World Cup. Bellamy - Preferred Francis Jeffers.
  2. Yup, deserves some credit for the debt thing. No excuse for every other mistake he's made mind, but that bit he got right. He had to pay it off. It's not like he did it out of the kindness of his heart. It was a smart business decision, no more, no less. It was essential and in a way kind of lucky. He didn't have to use his bonce, he just had to pay.

  4. To the tune of Jesus Christ Superstar. "Jesus Christ! Tamas Kadar! He's our 6 foot 2 Hungarian star!" It needs tinkering with
  5. Avram Grant is resigning apparently. Unhappy about player sales.
  6. That's why everyone hates us. No matter what the owners do we have a better solution. Give that fat fuck a chance, he's all we have so at least restrain from crticising him when he gets something right for a change.
  7. YOU WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT NOW!!! I wasn't being entirely serious
  8. If he arrives I might (might) be able to forgive Ashley ever so slightly.
  9. I saw one get dragged out during the first half for banging on the roof. More lookalikes to add to the collection - Alan Rickman and two Coloccinis.
  10. This time last year it was anything but promising. This time last year? Everyone hated Ashley this time last year. There were still a few posters on here who were firmly in the pro-Ashley camp and a load more who certainly had sympathies with him because the nasty NUST/Keegan/Media were out to get him. I can remember getting into arguments right up until the final weeks of the season with said posters on numerous occasions. When I'm not half asleep I'll try and source some of the posts.

  12. It was never that. It certainly felt that way 12 months ago.
  13. Williamson was good tonight. Too early to get too excited though. Be happy? The past two years have been will have been a lesson to all how not to go about running a football club - lies, underhand deals with agents, employing mates, employing yes men, selling key players at silly times, taking huge gambles which could've potentially ruined the club etc. I could go on. The club isn't financially strong either. It's on a precipice. We're relying on the parachute payments and we need promotion, hence the reason they actually need to spend. They're not exactly cleaning up a mess they inherited any more, they made this mess for themselves. The players deserve credit, Chris Hughton deserves credit, the fans deserve credit. MA and DL deserve f*** all. lies.....name 1 manager, owner, chairman who doesn't. i wouldn't want the truth most of the time. underhand deals with agents........still curious as to why fifa/uefa/fa haven't investigated this further. employing mates...............who doesn't employing yes men..........se above selling key players at silly times..................i take it you mean n'zog and milner, players whom many claimed weren't key players and we have a long history of doing that. taking huge gambles etc...........................some would say freds transfer and wage policy was just that aswell. That's worryingly similar to the dirge Ashley apologists on here were posting prior to the relegation last season. Have two signings really placated the masses enough to turn this board back into a hotbed of Mike bumming and anti-match going fan sentiment? And lets get one thing straight, I'm not NE5. I'm no Freddy lover. I hated the bloke with a passion. Does that mean I should excuse the continued piss poor running of the club by another charlatan? 'Course not. Using the "Well Freddy did it" line as an answer to any questions I may ask of Ashley is ridiculous.

Fair enough, but respect my right to still be fucking furious
  15. Fuck that. It's their job to back their chosen manager and they're doing it 12 months too late. They're getting no pat on the back from me. Pretty sure keeping as many of the Premier league squad together as they did was some decent backing and the main reason we didn't fulfil the gloomy predictions for this season. Surely that's more to do with the resolve of the players we've got rather than the ownership? I don't think Mike and Dekka were dishing out the golden handshakes to convince them to stay on, do you?

  17. He's a saleable asset and they need money. If we crocked him we'd they'd be fucked.

They're getting no pat on the back from me. beter they do it now than never though, it does not make up for the mess they've put the club in, but they seem to be moving in the right direction. They're still going to need to do a lot to be regarded with anything other than contempt in my eyes. Signing two decent Championship standard players, one on emergency loan and the other for a sum of around £1 million, is all well and good but it's not exactly groundbreaking. If they want to really get back in the fans good books they could start by putting in a serious bid for Moses (player or prophet, either would do). Show that they've got some ambition and they want to right the wrongs. I doubt it though. How do you know we haven't? Didn't hear about the Routledge deal until it was done. True, but this is Fat Ash and Disco Dekka we're talking about. It's always safe to err on the side of caution and blind anger with these two.

  21. Does that mean chants of "Your clubs more fucked than ours!" are going to go down like a lead balloon then?
