When I came out of Villa Park one season and commented to a Villa fan on the low crowd I was told it was because it was a Sunday and a lot of people would be at church.

Had a moment today where I went "Eh, hang on a second, the BNP London Mayoral candidate is called Carlos? Ah, wait, he's Uruguayan. Never mind."

I would absolutely fucking love it if Villa went down after being at Villa Park that day, I would squeal with delight.

You can see the mackem logic machine working. Well, working in the sense of those impossible MC Escher style machines you get. The Mags have got up to fourth this season with shit players just by having good days, having luck and by playing teams when they were shit. With out much superior team, if we emulate that, we'll be going for the title.

Presume these designers think their boss will wonder what they pay them for if they come back with something as boring as black and white stripes. "I know, we'll have the stripe twist around half way down like a fucking gymnast ribbon"

Looks thicker after the spike here, doesn't it? At the very least there's the 'bulge' in the stripe where the spike protrudes, which isn't in the mock up and why the mock-up looks much smarter. http://u.goal.com/169200/169236hp2.jpg

It's not just spikes like in the mock-up though, the stripes are actually different thicknesses around the spikes. I don't think they're supposed to be 'spikes' I think they're supposed to give the impression the stripe has been "twisted" half way down.
