  1. But he posts stuff on twitter! TWITTER!
  2. If he stays he'll be like another new transfer.
  3. Fund Barton's replacement We haven't been able or willing to get Carroll's replacement with 8 months and £35m, what makes you think we're going to replace Barton? Our transfer strategy is based on who's available on the cheap and might go up in value, if we're amazingly lucky that might happen to be a Barton style player but it could just as easily be a keeper.
  4. If we're justifying getting rid of him because he's a cunt we probably should have done it when he was going to jail for drunken brawls rather than after he's not touched a drink for years and sits around posting Nietzsche quotes and the occasional moan about the way the club is run on twitter.
  5. Do people really think we'll have a new left-back? How long have we been trying to get a striker for, and we're going to find an adequate left back in however many days we have left after we sell Jose?
  6. I wonder how far into the season, if ever, we'll first field that 11.
  7. What's New Leftback like on FM? Can't find him on Youtube.
  8. why? Can't pass, can't take corners, can't take free-kicks. Gobs off all day long on Twitter, and disputes the managers decisions. Previously convicted of behaviour such as stabbing cigars in teammates eyes & punching people on the training ground. Why would you? Should have gone to Specsavers tbh. It's the kind of revisionist history that happens whenever someone leaves.

    Alan Pardew

    Not one like ours, no.

    Sunderland...

Aye, righto I'm not sure we could get a thread that long, that quick about one of ours Outdone by Sunderland again!

    Sunderland...

Is that a seventy-five page, 750 reply thread about one of our players since this time yesterday? They really put us to shame, I don't think there are many Newcastle fans this obsessed with NUFC. Aye, righto
  12. Seeing some of the feeble attempts at defending Barton over this is depressingly like battered wife syndrome. Well, that nasty man won't make you upset on twitter any more. Let's wait and see if Ashley kicks you in the crotch again.

  14. So, are we still hoping to bring one more player in then?
  15. Cannot even begin to fathom the depth of the turd swamp we'd be sinking in if Pardew resigned at this point. No one in the world would come in. it's the beginning of the 2011/12 season, and nufc cant afford to lose Alan Pardew Pardew won't resign man, he was brought in to put up with this exact scenario.
  16. If the announcement was going to be "I'm being transfer listed and told I can leave on a free" he doesn't really need to tweet, does he.
  17. Quick, quick, how much is he on, so we know what "£XXk a week twat" to call him?
  18. At least Wearside always pops up when things go wrong to remind us that it could be worse, we could be mackems
  19. Because we're run by a pair of children who are prone to temper tantrums?
  20. No way, a player says "I'll make a statement on my future in two hours" and people jump to conclusions? He must be shocked!
  21. What actually goes on on the pitch seems incidental to some people. Don't lose sight of important things like money sitting in a bank account or players doing stuff on twitter by getting all wound up about who we're actually going to play in 12 days. Don't assume this will be the only outgoing either. With all due respect, what the hell are you talking about? This decision has nothing to do with money sitting in a bank account at all. At least find the right thread of ill-informed generalising. I'm speaking in a wider sense about some people's reaction when Ashley does something which has an absolutely undeniable negative effect on our ability to perform as a football club. That selling Carroll was the right decision from a financial perspective, that releasing Barton is the right decision from a PR perspective because he doesn't toe the party line on twitter. If you have to stop looking at things from a football perspective to try and convince yourself they're OK you need to press your reset button and go back to thinking like a football fan.
  22. Ashley makes Nile Ranger look like Descartes.
