They've nicked the 'local/tourist' shirt idea from Man City. You know, where it would actually make sense http://shop.mcfc.co.uk/stores/mancity/products/product_details.aspx?pid=79861

Weren't they quite new by hooligan standards (with Newcastle previously only having an "Intercity Firm" common to many clubs)? Remember suddenly they announced who they were, had little business cards printed, painted "GREMLINS" behind the east stand and within a week most of them had been nicked thanks to their inability to keep any kind of low profile and that was that. Also, just in the first few paragraphs face of football Toon thug casual clobber centre of chaos. dossier of disorder Is this journo paid per use of alliteration?

Sports Secretary Jeremy Hunt has had private lessons to teach him the rules of football, he admitted yesterday. The Culture, Media and Sports Secretary revealed he was so ignorant of the game he called in officials from the FA for help. ---snip--- "If you asked me what the offside rule was, I couldn’t tell you," he said. “I decided to put it right, so the FA is very kindly sending someone to my office tomorrow." http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Sports-Secretary-Jeremy-Hunt-has-admitted-he-has-been-having-lessons-to-teach-him-the-rules-of-football-as-he-knew-nothing-about-the-game-article711959.html

Europe: would you take, er, 5th place right now?
BlueStar replied to kirkwdavis2001's topic in Football
Fuck knows, his mum's from Lancashire but I don't think they ever lived down there. His older brother's a toon fan so God knows how he ended up supporting Bolton, just to be akward at a guess. -

BlueStar replied to kirkwdavis2001's topic in Football
Erm, we've been in Europe twice in the past 5 years and didn't do that badly at all. Drew away with Bayern and knocked out Atletico Madrid last time we were in it, and possibly would have got past Sporting if Megson had not decided to play a reserve team because we had a relegation six-pointer on the Sunday (which we duly lost after an inept performance). To be honest with Bolton it's more just a personal thing for me, my mate's brother is a Geordie Bolton fan who goes on like a proper cunt on Facebook whenever Bolton win and/or Newcastle lose. -
I know a new owner would mean another period of upheaval, but I don't think we can count continued ownership under Ashley, a man who's gone through 6 managers during his short ownership and has put the club on and off the market like the hokey-cokey, as 'stability'

Fat Sam looking pretty svelt!!

urgh, the idea of stoke or bolton in europe. .. -
Ashley's cutbacks were by necessity of his self inflicted meltdown, not design. The fact one of his first signings was alan smith on hollywood wages should clear that up. There's no saying freddie wouldnt have tightened the belt as well if needs must, while not squandering premier league money, addidas money etc through utter (rather than moderate) stupidity.

I guess we'll never know, will we, because we were taken over on a whim by a moron who admits he doesnt know how to run a club.
-
Fuck off man. Freddie Shepherd would have bloody bankrupted us by now! Don't be daft, successful clubs operate with high levels of debt. That's the way of the world at the moment. Football fans support what's going on on the pitch, we don't sit around with a smug set of satisfaction because we have less debt than Man U. Ashley would have relegated us by now. Oh, wait, he did. We'll never get stability under this regime, we'll never make anything of the club with this moron in charge. We've seen that demonstrated time and again. The best we can hope for is to tread water well enough between each catastrophe that we don't plummet like a stone. Again.

Is Mike Ashley the worst person ever to have been associated with NUFC?
BlueStar replied to AlanSkÃrare's topic in Football
Uh-huh, better to have a load of miserable players who want out I suppose. -
So the only options available to us are to be a laughing stock with a cluless twat in charge or to be Man City? What about all the other clubs in the league? Why weren't the same people opposed to us being taken over by a sports billionaire in the first place for the same reasons? I'd welcome any takeover to be honest, with our current ownership you'd be mad to not gamble for what's in the box. I'd take Freddie back in a heartbeat.

Which teams would you like to see promoted from the Championship?
BlueStar replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
Their fans are a bunch of horrible cunts as well, in the Stoke/Birmingham mould. -
Can't see it. Something will happen, we'll get taken over, he'll do something to piss Ashley off, have a bad run of results or Ashley will want to do another mate a favour.

Find it hard to get excited about things like Ashley lowering wages, debt etc. Maybe if we made up some songs related to this new way of supporting the club's financial results rather than football results? Weee'reee Geeeeoooordies, We're sensible, We live within our means His wage is pretty small, His price was reason-able, Tiote, woooahh, Tiote, wooaaah How we can mock those wretched Man United fans, with all those debts and trophies. -
Didn't Spurs bring out a DVD of their 4-4 fightback against Arsenal as well?

Didn't a Chinese couple get brutally murdered by Triads for doing just that, sitting in St Jame's Park with a phone and telling contacts abroad what was happening before dodgy bookies could stop taking bets on certain events?

Villa ticket on sale now, imagine we'll regale those good humoured brummies with a good-natured round of "Ireland was right, Birmingham's shite"

Although it's a sickening Spurs wankfest, this is pretty well done... Does it count as a football video?
