Was that the sound of a deflating boner?
-
ahahahaha Ashley == Gaddafi, internet's over folks, go home.

He's not competing with Shola, his direct competition would be Ba. If we persist with 4-4-2 it will be Best + Ba up front and all I'm saying is Peter is a better choice than Shola for third in the pecking order.
-
Rather him than Shola. That's about it.

come on fucking stoke

Pardew : *points to "No Ameobis Club" sign* Shola : But you let Sammi in! Pardew : It says no Ameobi_s_. We're allowed one.
-
Shola's entire game is falling over for no reason whatsoever.

Not weird, but still wrong. NUFC has played football at St. James' Park for 119 years, and will probably always play at St. James' Park. There's f*** all tradition left as it is. What's next, renaming the club itself? You simply can't compare sports clubs in the UK to those in other countries. US teams... er, sorry I mean franchises, don't think anything of upping sticks and moving the whole thing to a different state for f***'s sake! Poor Dave. That's more a product of a system without multiple professional levels of a sport within each city/district than it is some lack of sentimentality/community claim. I'll grant you the lesser sports like basketball and hockey do move around more, but MLB has had one move in the last 40 years and the NFL one in the last 15. It's hardly a game of franchise musical chairs with revolving cities every other month. Not that any of that changes the fact the SD sign is an abomination.

We're actually doing much better defensively and much more poorly offensively as compared to last year but, as ykmkmdd points out ... results. 13 September last year: 4P - 1W1D2L, 7GF 6GA, 4 pts 13 September this year: 4P - 2W2D0L, 3GF 1GA, 8 pts Others early comparisons to an Allardycian Bolton are a bit off - we're actually just much better defensively and the same offensively. The popular notion seemed to be that because Bolton (under Allardyce) didn't score a lot they must be a defensive unit hard to break down. His personality also helped to shape this notion. Under Allardyce Bolton weren't actually that tough a side to break down, ranking in the bottom half almost every year when it came to defensive records (e.g. clean sheets, average goals against). 04-05 and 05-06 had them ranked in the top half - 8th and 6th overall respectively - but they've since reverted to form. I don't think anyone, Pardew included, wants to keep riding our luck with Krul/Colo/Saylor forming some kind of impenetrable shield. He has to get that front six clicking.

The whole team did imo. The America tour was a shambles. Might be mid-October before we start looking like a team out there. As it stands there's just enough quality in the squad to grind out points/results in this shit fashion.
-
picks wrong team, doesn't lose. the man is a silver haired god and i'm gay for him
-
The squad's clearly much better. Look at the options coming off the bench. We'll forget who started in the first place... Hey, you know who didn't start? Peter fucking Lovenkrands on the right. Moral victory.

think I've seen him washed up on a beach somewhere
-
Got home early to start watching this and I'm already ready to kill someone
-
What must Santon have done to not start
-
well we've started off crap and gotten better as the game has gone on in all our matches so far. hoping the same will be true for this one.... I just keep thinking of the simpsons boxing episode, how he kept winning by taking the abuse until the other guy wore out. Man U or Liverpool is going to be Drederick Tatum and we're going to get absolutely s*** on.

I wish I could see the car wreck being played out but at the same time I'm happy I can't.
