Statements detailing the entirety of your plan around the first team however, are exceedingly rare. In fact one feels that there must be a compelling reason no club or manager has ever released a whole statement like that. Regardless, it doesn't detract from your main overall point which is agreeable on the whole.

Maybe it's not the best thing to announce all of your intentions for the world to see? Vagueness may be irritating but it can serve a greater good. How would you phrase that statement about wanting to shift deadwood if you were Pardew? "Yeah we've got some absolute turd players here, we're looking to unload them on some unwitting saps. Then we'll see about replacing them with upgrades."

I'm sure Joey's tweets haven't gone unnoticed and it could still be that he's not guaranteed a starting spot. That said, no idea who'll get it.

Surely the point was more aimed at the concept that transfer monies in aren't ringfenced for spending on new transfers and simply disappear into the club, rather than the quality of the players signed by those clubs who apparently do allocate it for spending. The clubs mentioned have used their transfer income from selling players to buy players, spending most if not all of the same money in the process. Why are we different? Why are they all the same? Just as answerable We just don't appear to be operating on a model where transfer revenue is kept on its own ledger for future transfers. Is it part of some master self-sufficiency plan? Is it suicidal? both? probably? edit: Totally agree on Sturridge btw - 15m for him is a no-brainer. Slightly more pensive about the Zog.
-
Why do I care how Sunderland, Liverpool or Villa conduct their transfer business opposed to us? Wow they paid a large sum for average dross, I sure am jealous. Wish we would splash out 15m on Gibson. That'd show everyone we mean business.

It's the kind of getup you see in bad comedies where someone needs to pass as crazy to get into an insane asylum.

That's not a Tolouse kit, and that's not Moussa.

Look, when you say "I don't post anything without foundation" and then you acknowledge your foundation is the bollocks that shite tabloid/news rags print, it undermines the entire credibility of the thought exercise. If you genuinely feel there's an "everything must go" air about the club just because a bunch of newspapers are linking our players to other clubs in articles with absolutely no quotes, prior interest from either side or possible logical reason - an act, it has to be said, they are and have been apt to do every season since the dawn of movable type, for every club, everywhere - then I don't really know what to say. The cries of asset stripping and fears over massive cut-rate bargain sales of our players have been heard every season since the takeover. And every season since the takeover they've slowly dwindled to an angry whisper as the team hasn't been completely gutted, only to resurface in the offseason under the possible justification that this will be the offseason he sells and he wants to recoup as much money as possible, etc. There's plenty of sound reasons to remain wary and on guard in regards to Ashley & Llambias without having to throw unfounded suspicions like that around. edit: Yes I'm aware of the irony of a man talking about undermining credibility when he has this as his avatar. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/avs/avatar_177.gif

Can we get back to moving Shola out?

For me, tabloid mumblings about outgoings mean nothing as far as our intentions. Most of that list I can't argue with letting go though - Smith, Perch, Guthrie, Ameobi, Ranger, LuaLua, Routledge ... none seem to have a chance at getting near the starting XI from that list and I don't think the squad would miss them too much. But of Jonas, Enrique, Colo, Barton, Best - the more from that list that go the more disappointing. edit: the 3 already transferred or released: Campbell (no one cares), Kuqi (no one cares), Nolan (slightly miffed).

Imagne how slow he will be when he gets to 32/33. An Alan Smith scenario well dodged. If he got any slower than what he is now he would just stop still! Fat Greedy Cunt! http://i.imgur.com/ROrPM.gif

So long as it's not here. Why wouldn't you want the joint top goal scorer of the Premier League last season at Newcastle? Heart isn't in to, can't meet his wages, he was joint top because he was with man u( and also bullied the lesser sides) and not due to being that great, is past it, wouldn't fit in, hates the French, too old, only mongs want him signed, was dropped in the CL final for Owen, etc...

Bendtner is the fucking danish ameobi and I want no part of it

More of an off-menu item; just because you don't see him listed under soup of the day doesn't mean you can't order him.
-
guilt through omission I don't see any tweets other than the Cabaye one and that one is completely open to interpretation as to it's tone/intent.
-
I hope he knows what he's doing, changing out 5 of our starting front six.

Not even July. Someone hit me with a bat; just hard enough to go into a coma until the end of august.
