I don’t think we can play how we did this year against Spurs, Salah will punish us if we play like that.

Apart from in transition, where we get ran through

Sven Botman: Out for up to 8 weeks after minor Knee operation (Howe)

Mings was on the bench for the first time 2 months after returning to full training. It’s going to be middle of February before he is starting minimum imo. -

It’s ridiculous? Mings was over year, Henry has been over year, Timber was a year, Buendia was a year. Carlos was a year. that’s the time line these days -

Still think he wont be back until March or so. -
He's played 21 career league games. I dont think we can fully judge him.
-
I think the top 4 may separate themselves soon, but 5th-8th is going to be close.
-
Sadly none of our players are over performing at the moment, so its hard to say anyone who we could sell. Possibly Barnes, but I think this is just the player he is.
-
I dont think its that, its more sell players who are performing at a high level that is not sustainable long term e.g Miggy. I think you can put Joelinton in there to some degree, his stock was extremely high, got a Brazil call up and national media talked about his redepmtion arc. I'm not sure Gordon is a 10 goal 10 assist man long term. I think both of those are good players for the record, but I think we could have got inflated fees. Very much like what Villa did with Doug Luiz off the back of a great season.
-
Yeah, not sure I have faith we will do that.
-
Sometimes you need to sell while the stock is high too. We have missed the window on many players to sell while they were in demand in the past. Dyer and Jenas being the obvious ones.
-
You can say we were unlucky, if Isak is a yard further back for his goal etc, but the fact is we got smacked in the mouth and ran out of ideas. Not a single shot on target in the second half, there was a lack of belief.
-
Can we just try something other than 4-3-3? I'd like to see us play a 5-2-1-2, just for a bit of variation. We may lose but I think we have 2 ball progressors at wingback, Bruno and Tonali double pivot, willock causing havok, and Isak wont be so isolated? Pope Trippier - Schar, Burn, Kelly - Hall Bruno - Tonali Willock Gordon - Isak Could be terrible, but I cant hack this 4-3-3 every game, its so inconsistent and teams know we are coming with the 4-3-3.
-
Who does fit our team and what even is our identity?
-
I think there is way too much pressure on him to do it all. Our recruitment has been criminal to have a team with such little passing ability.
-
Always hated the idea of comparing historical performance. This iteration of the team has no links with the Ashley team so it should have no reflection on the score. We used to be on par with Palace, maybe they were even ahead of us under Ashley. We should be looking to beat the team that is 19th in the league away from home or not.

This feels like the answer

Concecaio?

It is frustrating he seems incredibly loyal to this 4-3-3. Playing Isak as a second striker how he does for Sweden would be interesting
-
No shots on target this second half
-
Always risky to give a try hard who has a good season a massive contract. It’s not like he has obvious quality like Isak or Bruno.
-
Feel like we only show up when we are underdogs. Shocking performance this.

If you plan well you shouldn't really be selling players going into a strong fixture. If someone scores a brace against Liverpool or a tough away game fair enough. My plan is to load on pen takers, set piece takers and talismen vs weaker teams and that does me pretty well. Also don't do anything stupid with your captain, premium players only as captain. For me I would only captain Salah and Haaland, then Palmer if he's at home. Noone else has the ceiling those guys do.

While people can say there is luck in this, the Haaland pricing has been bang on this year. He is the best player in the game, and is priced so high that if he doesnt perform you take a significant rank hit. He will get 4 in one game at some point and those who stuck with him will catch up again.
