I can't say anything more, sorry mate.
-
Of course but it's a situation where I feel like VAR can't ever overturn the ref's decision, whatever it was.
-
Jimenez is only looking to go down after getting the touch on the ball, just throws himself to Pope with spaghetti legs. Really good refereeing but Pope still got incredibly lucky as that's usually given (and VAR would never intervene as there's contact). Think it would have been a red too as Pope is not trying to play the ball.
-
If Trippier hadn't slipped, their xG would have been ridiculously low. Really comfortable win in big picture if you take away Pope's bad touch and Trippier's slip.
-
ASM playing lovely balls behind the line all the time.
-
Jimenez was way too eager to go down there.
-
Nice goal by Chilwell but terrible goalkeeping.
-
It was an offside decision.
-
Yeah but I don’t think him being there changes anything.
-
That’s a bullshit decision.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2022/mar/07/falcons-ridley-banned-for-season-and-forfeits-11m-salary-after-betting-on-games Calvin Ridley in NFL said he bet $1500 total (including betting on his team to win) and wasn't playing due to mental health issues during that time. Was banned for a season and didn't get his $11m salary.

Then it would just turn to arguments about what is obvious and is there daylight or not. Line has to be drawn somewhere and I feel the current system is best even when some decisions are massively irritating and feel unfair.
-
Absolutely. Cross accidentally hitting an arm shouldn't be deciding games or ties. Easily the biggest problem with football and why games often turn to 'who can get a penalty' competitions. Trivial things turning into 0.80xg in form of penalties is just wrong and stupid but can't see it changing when nothing happened after the Liverpool-Spurs CL final.
-
I really don't think that should be retaken.

Big Joe has to do better there.

Have!

Big thank you to everyone for this unforgettable long weekend despite the result. Special thanks to @BlazeT44 for organising everything on Sunday and the locals who took so good care of me on different nights like @dinotheprehistoricgeordie, @LFEE and @AyeDubbleYoo. Great to meet so many new people from here and everyone I talked with was sound as fuck, at least from what I could understand. Hope to be back soon and can’t wait for the next meet up!

That’s way too harsh, he said they were alright but wouldn’t buy them at home due to superior options. Unless I was mistaken.

Tynemouth is really nice but the weather went all authentic Britain the second I stepped out of the Marshall’s.
-
That’s almost in Scotland!

Wednesday. Think we are going for dinner tonight with Ameritoon, LFEE and Ian W but I don’t have any details, maybe ask Ameritoon?

What was the name of the recommended fish and chips place in Tynemouth? Heading there now.

He brought me in to Popworld a decade ago and I pretty much quit drinking after that night.
