It was the only thing Richards was looking for.

Playing Heskey and Hutton as wingers equals to us playing Shola and Simpson. I honestly can't see Villa finishing above us unless a serious malaria epidemic hits our first team.

Yeah, as is customary at OT, the refs referral to Fergie has resulted in the pen being overturned, and a grovelling apology from ref and linesman. God, that place is getting worse every season. It was the right decision though and very impressive from the linesman to see it and make the ref overturn it.

Think about the riots, if Pardew would have told the day Enrique moved that it's no problem, we have Ryan Taylor and I'm sure he'll do fine in the first 11 games.

Everton was shocking, for all the possession in second half they created absolutely nothing. And their defence doesn't look as solid as normally. I doubt that they can climb the table to 7-9 like normally, more like 10-13.

Jamie Carragher, is that you? Colo doesn't make last ditch tackles because his sense of positioning is so good he's already read and delt with the situation before a 'last ditch tackle' is needed. Go through Nesta and Ferdinand's career and see how many last ditch tackles they made. Not very many, because it's the sign of a desperate defender who doesn't have a footballing brain. Coloccini's been the best centre half in the league this season and it's a pleasure to have such a classy, ball playing defender in our team.
