Not sure that quite stacks up, Coloccini is one of the best centre halves in the league with the ball at his feet and recently there's been a very noticable lack of playing it short to him either. Krul is either taking it upon himself to smack it up to the forwards time after time or the tactics have been changed. It's quite rare to be able to play it short to CB and as far as playing it to our fullbacks, I think it's better to lose possession past halfway line than on our own third.

After today, yes. Says everything we already knew about Simpson though tbh, for a team in our position he is playing above his level. Against the better teams he isnt good enough, simple as that. He should have cleared upfield instead of hanging on and knocking for a throw in You're kidding, right? He got played a horrible ball under a lot of pressure. It wasn't terrible ball, Simpson is just the the least talented football player in the league.
