  1. We really need that new contract to Guthrie. Started rusty but he was great after Cabaye went off. Santon was good too. Ameobi is just depressing. Even his running style makes me depressed. In my short life I'm sure I have watched Shola play football enough already.
  2. I was thinking earlier that this surely can't be possible now, but clearly Pardew is just too stubborn.
  3. He just doesn't have any self confidence now. IMO self confidence is one of the biggest things affecting how players do in any sport. It just seems nobody really understands how important it really is.
  4. Can't understand why players do that when it's red 98% of time.
  5. He can do alright defensively but he's shocking going forward. Ideal situation would be to sign LB and move Santon to right. Then keep Simpson and Raylor as cover with Tavernier developing. I just think that Danny has quite high opinion of himself and wouldn't accept it and that's why I wouldn't bother if he leaves and Tavernier keeps developing. But everything comes down to us signing a good LB and that's more than questionable.
  6. People will no doubt mention Griffin, Titus, Hughes, OB1 were good enough to see us to a CL spot under SBR, but you do feel the landscape of Premier League football has changed. Probably not a player befitting of a top eight team, but wouldn't say he's enough to single-handedly stop a top-eight finish! Still pretty young and good to have about the squad atm. That's what I meant, I don't believe no one thinks he's an asset for us and being important for us to get top-eight. Good squad player but if we take a look on our starting eleven, he's the first name along with Obertan that we should be able to strengthen. The best ability that good PL rightback has shouldn't be goalline clearances.
  7. So limited with the ball that he's never going to be good RB for top 8-team.
  8. Erdinç, what a fool Looks like he'll be wasting his career if he stays at PSG. The lad needs a move if he want to progress. Like someone has said, it's looking like he's the French-Turkish equivalent of Alan Smith What a fool? Really? Have you seen any French football this season? During his last two seasons he has started 59 games in the league for PSG... this season they bought Kevin Gameiro and he has started ALL games in the league. He's one of their key players in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Erdinç is the second choice striker at the club. If Gameiro gets injured Erdinç will start upfront. PSG are building something big over there and he wants to be a part of it and fight for a place in the team. Isn't that the sort of players you want in your team? Yes. If PSG signs Kaka... Pato or Ba in the summer he will probably move on. He has the chance to stay at PSG to the end of the season and will probably win the league with the club and people are calling him a fool... He's also a fan of his club. I see your point, but I'm pretty sure that after next summer there's going to be at least two new players ahead of him in the pecking order no matter how well he does. I just feel like he's not big enough name for PSG anymore. Think about Shaun Goater or Paul Dickov playing for City and saying they'll fight for their place. /extremely tongue-in-cheek

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Without seeing the other coverage, how can they not show a replay? Would take like 15 seconds. Also, not enough love for Jonas goal and mask.

Edwamack is legend. Stunning goal, can't believe some were feeling disappointed.

Never would have happened here. Not even trying to be a dick this time. It's just amazing that a major competition is treated this way. You are so much ahead broadcasting sports that it is quite ridiculous.

    Danny Guthrie

Absolutely, if he's fit I'm not so bothered about Tiote leaving. Demba on the other hand...

    Other clubs' transfers

Pointless, move there when you're 31.
  14. Ben Arfa has to start, either left wing or up top with Ba. Now that we got rid of Obertan there's two spots open in the first eleven and it's simply outrageous if HBA doesn't start.
  15. That's a red for anyone else but Lampard.
  16. That's just a bad lie or the forum has been extremely quiet. How could you leave evidence like that?
  17. Not sure that quite stacks up, Coloccini is one of the best centre halves in the league with the ball at his feet and recently there's been a very noticable lack of playing it short to him either. Krul is either taking it upon himself to smack it up to the forwards time after time or the tactics have been changed. It's quite rare to be able to play it short to CB and as far as playing it to our fullbacks, I think it's better to lose possession past halfway line than on our own third.
  18. f***ed up for the third goal IMO, but other than that I thought he was excellent. Tiote was never excellent today. If Simpson or Obertan misplaced the same amount of passes like he did today (well, maybe they did) they'd be killed on here. exactly. tiote may do alot good things in match, like he did today, but he certainly cancelled it out with the f*** ups he made aswell Just go to sleep. Tiote tried to keep the ball and calm our play down when everyone was panicking. It's not easy and will lead to f***-ups like passing to Simpson or taking the ball away from Agger. Passing to Simpson went ok most of the times. He was trying to pass it to Vuckic, Obertan, Jonas, Cabaye or even Ba. Rarely that a pass got there... I meant the fuck-up as IMO it's always wrong to pass to Simpson. But seriously, after watching that game you really want to come here and say Tiote was poor when he quite clearly was our best player with CBs.

  20. After today, yes. Says everything we already knew about Simpson though tbh, for a team in our position he is playing above his level. Against the better teams he isnt good enough, simple as that. And as funny as it is, defending is his 'strength'. Simpson is never going to be good enough for tophalf teams. Total liability on the ball. Hope he doesn't sign the new contract and we get Santon to play on right.
  21. tiote 7? us conceding two goals today was down to him. So Tiote gets the blame for bad refereeing anf Simpson's complete inability on the ball? MoM with Colo for us. tiote was to blame because simpson was quite clearly man marked right on the edge of our own penalty box, maybe you never played football before, you got the ball near your own box with players bearing down on your team mate, the last thing you do is pass to him. how about clearing the ball hows that for a brainstorm? especially when tiote had all the time in the world. Son, I have played football but not today on Anfield as you suggest. Ridiculous how everyone's giving shit to Tiote after watching that game.
