Wasn't his fault some stupid arsehole decided to give a free kick away in that position, just because he hadn't fouled anyone for nearly a minute.
-
Bang on the nail.

He is so bad it's scary. The foul he committed to give Ryan Taylor, who scored last season and had already warmed up his right foot, another shooting opportunity was the action of someone who doesn't have a fucking brain in his skull.

I hope Big Faye's fit tomorrow, that'll be ace.

We need more from a left footed striker than the ability to play wide right, I know that. I keep asking myself why Torres isn't playing left wing. We need more of everything from Martins in terms of all-round play on and off the ball regardless of where he plays and we don't often get that. I like the player and rate his ability to grab goals but he's not the answer now or ever. Not on the right wing, no. Not anywhere. I agree though that sticking him on the right flank is doing him nor the team any good. Not anywhere, give your head a shake man. The lad's being fucked about with, like most of our quality players. Mainly in order to accomdate Alan Smith as far as I can see.

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

why do you hate Duff so much? everyone has their favourites but it seems you're praying for the guy to fail to feel vindicated about your initial displeasure of his signing I don't need to pray mate, I think he'll offer us no more than last season, probably less, which consisted of nowt apart from the odd dive. He's getting picked because of his name and what he did five years ago, ahead of better players. Same as last season and we suffered for it. We'll see I suppose.

Ridding the squad of: Titus Sibierski Moore Babayaro Srnicek Dyer Bringing in the likes of: Faye - Best defender at former club Beye - Captain of Champions league side Caçapa - See Beye Viduka - Bags of PL experience, natural goalscorer Fully improved the scouting network. We now have scouts all round Europe and we're looking to snap up young English talent. Massive improvement in fitness levels of squad, which have been vital in recent weeks. He's not had a chance to get the players he wanted over the summer, mainly due to the fact that the man he signed up to work alongside was removed within weeks of him getting the job, and replaced by total strangers to the region, the sport and to himself. Give him time. If someone had offered me what we have now, this time last year, i'd have snapped their hands off. I don't doubt any of it which is why I certainly wouldn't advocate sacking him. But his current selection policy will not get us results and as I say, he is not learning.

What you fail to realise, Wullsten, is that the game has never been so cat and mouse. It's a game of chess now more than ever. So what if Martins isn't a winger? I want hard-working wide players, not wingers. He's not a proper player like. Get City of London nick on the phone, see what they want for Amdy Faye.
-
He was very poor today, doesn't look like the same enigmatic exciting player of last season. Hardly surprising when the poor bugger is a left footed centre forward playing on the right wing. It'd be funny if it wasn't tragic.
-
The thing that pissed me off most was switching Milner to the right when Duff came on. We've been waiting all bastard season to see that with Charlie on the left, but as soon as this useless bugger turns up, he does it. Talk about pulling my hair out.
-
I'd have to agree with this. Aye that's spot on. Funny, I was assured last night that the team is much better and more creative with Milner and Charlie down the left. One good flank apparently.
-
Rubbish. Which bit? All of it. Nah, I really would get rid tomorrow. Today now.
-
It therefore depends on whether you want N'Zogbia, whom has played for 60 minutes and is obviously finding it tough due to the proposed substitution to be used in an advanced position instead of Duff or Emre. What you on about, "finding it tough due to the proposed substitution"? Of course you want him instead of them two, one's a central player and the other one's just rubbish.

GK: Given RB: Beye CB: Cacapa CB: Taylor (not a fan but Roz is having a bad time and assuming Big Faye's still out) LB: ENRIQUE RM: Milner CM: Butt CM: Emre LM: Bonnie Prince Charlie CF: Super Vids CF: Martins Bench: Harper, Roz/Taylor/Faye, Barton, Geremi, *sigh* probably Duff. Maybe Smith. Genocide or infantidice?

We're not looking for champagne football, just some sign that the manager knows what he's doing would be enough. He is NOT learning from his mistakes and hasn't learned from them from day one. That is a major major concern. If Allardyce thinks he'll get time picking a team like today's and putting in performances like today's, he's having a laugh and he can't complain either.

Just watched it. He never mentions Enrique. The scary thing he does say is that we don't have to go gung-ho against Wigan like we did against Derby! No need to mention Enrique. No need to even have him or any other full back on the subs bench if he is not going to start him in my opinion (or at least certainly if other players are available). Having two players on the bench with experience of being an emegency left back makes iteven more pointless, especially when we wanted to attack today. Are you having a laugh or what, man? One change involving Jose and we become a real football team. Nah let's keep our best midfielder at left back. Much better. Its just my view that having a full back on the bench is a waste of a substitutes place and would only serve the purpose of replacing an injured player. Unless like Beye, the full back can play centre back, its a case of either start them or dont involve them, unless of course the number of substitutes allowed in the League gets increased. A waste of a place? Jose on at half time... no hang on, from the start, for Alan "what's that over there with the net attached?" Smith and we win at a canter today. But no, two games against Derby, two games with Charlie at LB and we get a point. Fucking shit.

Fantastic? All he did was his usual squat over the ball and... give it away. I'd get rid tomorrow.
-
Correct. I was screaming at him, something along the lines of "shoot, you're supposed to be a fucking striker" when suddenly a real striker picked the ball up.
