Moyes wouldn't take a job without full control over transfers. Absolutely no chance whatsoever.
-
Why does the next manager need to be from a list like that rather than somewhere on the continent where we've done all our shopping since our last managerial change?
-
Is that real? Reads like a rambling Facebook post.

So was Graeme Souness. Not sure Freddy Shepherd's opinion on managers is one I'd go trusting.

Hull were a newly promoted side with far less resources than NUFC had in 2010, yet survived fairly comfortably while also doing well in cups. That is a fantastic season, however you want to spin it. This season they have been more ambitious in their transfers, and should look to be more expansive and finish higher. We will see what happens. Bruce is perfectly competent, IMO, anyway. He is competent if you support Wigan or Hull. He's not competent enough to manage Newcastle (not a Newcastle being run properly anyway), he wasn't even competent enough to manage sunderland. Would Spurs or Everton give him a job? That's the level we should be aiming for at an absolute bare minimum. Neither would go near Steve Bruce in a million years and rightly so. Just because I hate Pardew doesn't mean I'm going to lower my expectations for the type of manager that should be leading NUFC.

Only 4 teams were worse than us between January and May, 3 went down and the other one was Hull. I think he has done a good job there because they're Hull City, but we're not.

Bet Ladbrokes like Brendan Foster, fucking hell.

It's been interesting seeing the reaction to the England game in the national press. Lots of jokes about how boring it was and comments about "no wonder nobody wants to go and watch it" Yet we've had that deliberately forced on us every week for nearly 4 fucking years and yet the same wankers still take a glance at the league table and tell us deluded Geordies how happy we should be with it.
-
It's staggering the amount of people who think that a Champions League Rangers would even get close to NUFC financially, that's quite apart from the fact that Celtic were champions, given two bites at the cherry and still couldn't qualify.

Aarons has to be playing. Players in the same category as Mark Noble don't come along very often.
-
Can someone paste it in here please?
-
He won't, he'll go on a Bosman.
-
We've had an open match, we lost that one 0-2. Yes, one game where one of the most potent players on our books wasn't playing. Like I said, we'll see over a succession of games. The new players deserve some time. He's just signed for Hull mate.

Used to post on here too.

I don't know where they find these people. They put them on because they're trying to be balanced. Unfortunately putting a tiny minority view on a level playing field with a huge majority isn't balance.
-
That is fucking amazing!

Let me know if there's anything on worth listening to later.

If he's 22, he'll have missed Keegan and only just caught Robson. Sadly for a growing proportion of fans, we've always been shite and badly run. They probably don't think of us as any bigger than Stoke or Hull. The ambitious Keegan generation is quickly being marginalised.

Feels to me like most of the influential NUFC voices are still very dated and insular. Can't imagine there's many support groups that rattle on about the 80s as much as ours seem to.
-
This idea that "support" must be unconditional is so dangerous and counter-productive. That is an idea from a bygone era when there was no money in the game. In 2014, it's just a licence for people like Mike Ashley to take the piss out of the naive. Our fans are like a battered wife, pledging to honour her vows before he gets home from knocking off his secretary and beats ten shades of shit out of her again.

You wouldn't find a pro like Mick Lowes coming into work overweight, that's for sure.
-
Got to go to work on this ffs. Fuck off. Should be able to take special leave for this shite.
-
Hopefully through Pardew's front window.
