  1. Winning away against the teams who finished 6th and 7th only more than half a decade after going down. Glory days indeed.
  2. One place above Crystal Palace and below Stoke. "My God Alan, please tell me more about how you did it!?" Someone should snap up the movie rights to such a sporting fairy tale.
  3. "Don't know how he does it" What, comes 10th? Aye, 'tis a Christmas miracle alright.
  4. You can't raise resources as a legitimate complaint whilst acknowledging Everton as a club we can't compete with. It's preposterous and contradictory. Anyway, he says Mike is a brilliant boss and has invested enough in the squad so even the man himself thinks you're talking shit.
  5. Reading through his previous posts, given how obsessed he is with the mackems, you'd think he'd not be too keen on the man who keeps allowing them to fist us twice a year. But then he also had some very harsh and consistent words about Wearside Jack, until NUFC gave him a contract of course. One of them.
  6. Imagine having such a warped view of the game that you didn't want that in your team.
  7. What about if they dropped to 30k, or 20k? It makes absolutely no sense for us all to say "Ashley's only interested in money" but then whenever the issue is raised of staying away from games, most people say "errr why would he give a shit about that?" This bloke would cross the road to pick up a 5 pence piece.
  8. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/498198/Galatasaray-ponder-swoop-for-28m-Arsenal-pair-Joel-Campbell-and-Lukas-Podolski £20m for Podolski. Quality journalism.
  9. He's constantly trying to juggle the club's ambitions (no Europe) but also both sell season tickets and try and big himself up in the process, hence the constant contradictions. He's such a snivelling two-faced little turd.
  10. Everton got about 73 and still missed that CL spot he was on about last week.
  11. I feel really sad that I won't be there this season but at the same time, I've no regrets and have certainly never even considered going back on it. With days to go, I'm extremely glad that none of my money will fund a penny of that man's salary and I hope City give us a real leathering. We need the storm to lift this horrible black cloud.
  12. Going to play a brand of football the fans expect. Great to hear.
  13. What sort of mental case comes out and says they'll be very happy with average in the context of elite sport?
  14. I don't really understand why people like that follow top level football at all. If what you want to watch is people working hard and getting stuck in, it's a lot cheaper down at your local non-league club and you'll get exactly what you're after.
  15. None of us are going to be in the least bit arsed about it, not least because they're bloody hopeless, but it's still poor employee relations to take such a standard practice away from them. It's easy to say "tough shit, I don't get X, Y and Z at work" but most real big companies and sporting institutions will offer their employees some fairly decent perks. He doesn't care though, the bloke's just utterly obsessed with money. http://media.her.ie/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/money.jpg "How much is enough?" For Mike Ashley, the answer is that he can never have enough.
  16. Against Man City last season: "I have to say I thought we gave a good account of ourselves up until the sending off. We'd threatened their goal, but the sending off made it a really difficult night for us and you don't want that on the first day." 2-0 after 20 minutes with 11 men and getting absolutely leathered.
  17. I think it's because people want to see Ben Arfa in the team BUT that goes against the cowardice philosophy Pardew has I have no issues seeing Ben Arfa get tackled 5 times because you know on the 6th attempt he will score a Bolton like goal or destroy some left back The alternative is watching the likes of Gouffran, who don't lose the ball BUT that's because they run towards the opposition players, stop and then pass it back or sideways. That is not football for me, that's turgid and is not what we remember growing up, I won't remember the safe play of Gouffran BUT I certainly will never forget Ben Arfa taking players on and scoring goals f*** Pardew and f*** negative football This is what it all comes down to, absolutely correct. He's simply not Pardew's type of player, well that's ultimately why I've got absolutely no time for the man. Life's too short to spend money to be entertained and finding myself watching a man attempt to bore me to death.
  18. On the contrary, the mistreatment of HBA has been a very consistent theme of the man's management. Personally I was pulling my hair out over it going right back to late 2011, a classic example being when we played Swansea at home, drew 0-0 and he brought the Ameobi Bros and Vuckic off the bench while Ben Arfa stayed on it. This isn't a recent development based on anybody's hatred of the manager, it is in fact one of the biggest reasons for the utter disdain that most of us have for the man. You can't treat a human being the way he has treated HBA and expect positive results. Blamed for things that aren't his fault, held to far higher standards than everybody else, dropped following good performances - if anybody wants to compare to an everyday setting, if you do that consistently with one employee, it's fairly likely they'll tell you to stick your job. A quick peek in the Job Thread will tell you that.
  19. The same was said when we sold Bellamy for less than we bought him for because Graeme Souness claimed he was disruptive. Do you think that worked out for the benefit of NUFC?

    Shola Ameobi

Bet his wife was over the moon when he told her.

Bet their terrace anthems are catchy like.

Fucking hell. And we had him starting against Liverpool 3 months ago because Ben Arfa wouldn't eat all his greens.
  23. Michael Owen's fucking patter, man.
  24. Why would anyone want to listen to anything that man has to say anyway?
