    The man is absolute magic.
  2. Aye, those comments about "if I'm not 100%, I won't play" don't exactly fill me with confidence.

Oguchi Onyewu played for Newcastle. He was wank. Do I win an objectivity prize?

I preferred his no shots on target. Always a good stat to maintain when you're playing lone forward. At least his passing and link up play was good...Oh wait...he had the worst pass completion rate of all 20 outfield players and even Mignolet had a better one than him. Big lad though so fair play to him on that. He's done well there.

Hush now, it doesn't fit the narrative. What a load of sweaty arse crack. Cisse gets enough criticism in his own thread and several others round here, you've justified comparing jozy with the most out of form player on our books. Cracking, he's Americas best player as well yeah? Your boy has been shit so far, equally as shite as his hull days. Hopefully for you he'll score against us and you can be proud of your nations talents once again. First, I've never claimed he's our best player. He's not. I've only ever claimed he's better than he's given credit for by some of you hellbent on your anti-Mackem/anti-Yank crusade. He has not been shit. Next to Giaccherini, he has easily been the best player on a very poor team. RVP himself wouldn't be scoring for Sunderland at the moment, they're just that bad. And to pre-empt your next quip, no, that statement is not akin to saying "Altidore is just as good as RVP." His hold-up play has been quite good, he makes smart passes, and he can rip off a good shot. When he gets the ball, which is few and far between. Amazing how whenever he receives service for the U.S., he scores. Whenever he received service for AZ, he scored. Of course, 'CONCACAF and the Eredivisie are shit' blah blah blah and all that utter nonsense. It's funny that, for instance, "Sessegnon was their best player over the past few years, albeit bang average." Now that he no longer plays for Sunderland, "he's a really good player." Some of you are utterly incapable of objectivity when it comes to Sunderland. It's a childishness that extends far beyond football and, from outsiders' perspectives, is wildly pathetic. Sunderland is a nothing team from a nothing city with no history. If you want to be taken seriously by the rest of the country (and, despite pretending not to care, so many of you constantly bemoan the fact that Newcastle is slighted by southerners), stop comparing yourselves to Sunderland and start comparing yourselves to the Liverpools and Manchesters of the football world. Hold yourselves to a higher standard. Fucking hell.
  6. Never seen the fuss about Mignolet, he does that sort of thing regularly.
  7. Nothing much has changed, let's hope Liverpool get something today. I was looking at our run of fixtures coming up, got me a bit worried like. We've already peaked, I don't think we'll climb above where we are now for the rest of the season (assuming the manager keeps his job). You don't think we'll climb above 16th? Hadaway. Another spectacularly dramatic statement. I think we'll get a point if we're lucky from the next eighteen available so I don't see us climbing the table from here. We've already had the easiest run of games we'll see all season and made a complete f***ing mess of it.  WTF?!?! Its f***ing amazing isn't it. 7 points from 5 games, but naturally we'll only get 1 point from the next 6 if we're lucky Same kind of mind numbing s*** as "can't see where our next win will come from" last season, shortly followed by a win and again by "can't see where our next win will come from" We lost, at home, to Hull, drew, at home, to a poor West Ham team and snuck a win against a very bad Fulham team. The only convincing result we've had was winning on the road at Villa. So it's perfectly understandable to think we might be in the exact same position after a run of fixtures in which we play on the road 4 times and face far better clubs than we have to this point. Performances don't win leagues though, points do. I appreciate that performances matter, like. Obviously. And yet even though we've got enough points to be 16th, you seem to think we're doing alright. So if we win tomorrow and we go to 8th all of a sudden you will believe we can finish top ten? Nah. Reckon we will? What? Win? Or finish top ten? Well, both since you're asking?

I appreciate they're away from home like but fuck me, I'd expect at least a draw at both those places. Two then, as opposed to one? Extreme indeed.

Sorry to double quote, but this has really astounded me, this part of your post. Really? Can't see three home bankers in a row anywhere else on the fixture calendar, feel free to point it out though. It's not so much that as it is the fact that you think it has been "...a complete f***ing mess". We have probably got one point less than expected from these games, maybe 3 if you count those 3 "bankers" as games you expected us to win all of comfortably. Little bit extreme to be honest. Villa at home, plus the 4 games after sees us with a similar run of games to be fair, later in the season. Just think you're going a bit over the top with those sort of statements. Might as well resign to relegation now, ay? Of course it's been a complete mess, that's kind of why we're 16th. And you're bloody right I expect to win all of those games comfortably. Wouldn't say resigned to relegation but certainly resigned to being close. Alright then, so did you "expect" a win at Villa? Depends what you mean by 'expect' really. I expect Newcastle United to be in a position to win most away games against teams of that level. I didn't think we'd beat Villa on the day though, no. I think it's fair to say we maybe expected a draw at Villa. So we got 2 additional points from that. We - according to you have dropped 5 points at home, meaning in total we're 3 points behind where we should be. That's one game, and that one game is pretty much the Hull one. Hardly a catastrophic situation yet is it? I never said "catastrophic" did I? I think we'll be in a similar position to last year, a struggle to stay up, which is basically what I said in the first place.

Absolutely no way that's going to happen regardless of the results in the interim.
  15. Find that very hard to believe, seems to me that most owners don't generally demand back any money they put in.
