You'd really think we'd gone to Old Trafford and pumped them 4-0 wouldn't you? A fucking standard away win at Aston Villa for God's sake.
  2. He wouldn't sign a contract tbf. I agree in principle.
  3. We absolutely pummeled them for ten minutes (possession in that first ten must have been at least 80% us), they looked completely shot to shit. Then we shot ourselves in the foot and scored. We were utter shit for the rest of the half as we chased the Hull players round trying to give them the ball back and they scored, our well constructed gameplan up in smoke before a block fell nicely to Remy to bury at the worst possible time for us. We went into half time with a lead and we should all know what happens in those situations. In hindsight I should have put my house on Hull DNB at half time.
  4. Sorry, you put €180 on a team playing against Bayern Munich? Sorry just reminds me so much of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sqma7f7ecxk&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Why, has he hung himself in the dressing room?
  6. When is he saying we "dropped down a gear"? I don't watch when we lose (most weeks).
  7. Pardew doesn't know how to construct a defensive unit so that people know where they're supposed to stand. That's been obvious for a while. He jumped on the coat tails of a well drilled back four that had mainly been playing together for years and tried to use it as evidence that he was a good coach, which he's not. He can't do it himself, there's absolutely no evidence for it.

    Papiss Cissé

We were much worse offensively after Gouffran came on. To say he holds the ball up better, I just don't know what to say to that really. He never got near anything after he came on.

    Papiss Cissé

'twas Moussa. Really? Pretty sure it was Cisse like.

Set the first goal up didn't he?
  11. Hmm I'd prefer just after payday if possible so I could really go to town.

No, he must be burned at the stake for he is 1000 times worse than Pat Heard and Shola combined, for the quixotic lords of Newcastle-Online have spoken... Think he needs to be left out for a few games myself. Did not exactly exert himself today and seems to have got complacent because he knows he is guaranteed to start. And that's fine, it's the posts accusing him of being a liability and a waste of a shirt and suchlike that are simply ridiculous. He's a good striker going through a lean period, it's not his fault that the club failed to bring in another striker (as well as Remy) during the summer to give him competition for his place. The idea of Gouffran replacing him is absolutely hilarious. I like Gouffran but he's nowhere near the threat that Cisse is. Hull had their cigars out for the last ten minutes once our main striker was off the field. Absolutely incredible the amount of people for whom the solution to a player clearly out of form in a team who generally don't want to attack is "drop him" Any vaguely competent attacking manager who had Cisse in their squad would have the team set up in a way that would give him chances and therefore goals within a couple of matches.
  13. Still in the bathroom attempting to scrape Pardew's shit off the end of his tongue. (Not really, he's still a fan)

    Hatem Ben Arfa

So did the manager, that's the problem. Why do you think he was so smug in midweek? Thought he'd found a get out of jail free card after his showing at Villa. Surprised they even went into training this week, he should have just sent round a text saying "give it to Hatam (sic)" and let them stay at home. Willie man, it's the hba thread. Pardew aside hba was fucking terrible. Part of the allure of having a player of Ben Arfa is that, because he always has to be doubled, even trebled up on, that should leave space for others. In the opening period, that's exactly what happened and the space opened up for Remy. After we took the lead though, we reverted back to type and just gave the ball to HBA whilst the other nine outfield players stood and watched him, held their positions, protected the lead. How much did you want from him whilst three defenders close him down?

At 1-0 I heard "when we get to Europe... Pardew is our king" "When we get to Europe, all the players are completely fucked, apart from the ones who aren't playing in Europe, they're not sharp enough because they haven't played in Europe" mustn't have had the right ring to it.
  16. I'm not being flippant here: if I was a manager of a club wanting a result here, I'd tell them to make sure they were a goal down at half time.

  18. Not getting relegated (and we wont) was always the goal. Finish upper midtable will do me. 'Do you' in what sense? It certainly shouldn't be enough for the manager to keep his job. It's what I expect. Fair enough, what I expect and what I will accept are two extremely different things. Even given the lack of investment, a competent manager should be qualifying for the Europa League imo. Today should be the cut off point for this horrible bastard. He's had his chance with what he admits is his full strength team (that he says is "good enough") and completely blown it, been utterly humiliated against a bunch of cloggers.

We need him out before the mackems turn up btw. Doesn't matter how shit they are in the run up, they'll come and try to attack and that has become the only thing required to win at SJP.

God get over it, smile ffs.

Yeah because we gave them time and space and gave them the ball back by refusing to commit men forward anymore. We always do it after we score. It's not new.

How did Hull get it right when they hadn't touched the ball until we scored? We let them do what they want after that. It's a recurring theme. I see no difference between this game and any other game in which we've tried to defend a lead instead of just continuing to play. They'll go down like, just about any other team in the league would have humiliated them today.

Hull didn't look too bad, hopefully it's just the typical first few games for a promoted team before they drop off. They were hilariously shit until we scored. Danny Graham got booed the first time he touched the ball, that was after about twenty minutes.

Give over man, they'd hardly touched the ball before we scored. We dropped off as soon as the first goal went in and stopped attempting to attack. That's how we play. watch it again man, after we got the first their strikers and midfielders opened us up between the D & M time after time, coupled with remy and hatem not tracking back we were full of holes ffs this was well before pardew pulled the midfield back or whatever Do you think we had the same attacking intent in the period between our goal and theirs? I was absolutely apoplectic in my seat at the change in intent when we had the ball before they scored, it was the most embarrassing thing about the performance. If we'd carried on doing what we were doing before the goal, it would have been a comfortable home win for the first time in about eighteen months. When we had the ball at 1-0 we looked shit scared of attacking players we'd been vastly superior to five minutes before.
