Canny rich to expect the crowd to get fully behind a club that basically admits to having no ambition. What exactly are they supposed to be cheering them on to? It has to be give and take and all NUFC want to do is, at best take from the fans, at worst just completely take the piss out of them.

I'd class that as a quirk of fixture scheduling Out of 19 home games in our potential relegation season last year I'd say 3 were embarrassments. Only 6 teams won more home games than us last year. They all finished in the top 6. How many teams lost more home games than we did? Better to win 3 and lose 3 than draw 6. None then. You're not making any point worth making tbh. Teams were relegating losing less than us. Again, better to win and lose than to draw both. My point is and always has been that Pardew is doing a shit job, you're the one trying to fucking big him up all the time. Better to win and lose ffs. Better to win both or win and draw than fucking losing so often. What an utterly preposterous position you take up. "Pardew's a cunt, here's ten reasons why he's doing a great job", give it a rest.

3 of our last 6 home games have been what I would describe as "embarrassing defeats" and I'd class that as frequent.

Bollocks. I always have a stat when people make wild claims about what we have or have not done which can be shown to be either worth further consideration or demonstrably false. Pardew's doing the job we all expected of him when he was appointed, no better, no worse. You'll not find me saying he's done a good job because I've always thought the bloke is a grade a cunt. I've been panning him in this thread this morning. What I'm not willing to do is to join the bandwagon to get the bloke sacked, because i want what is best for the club, and with Mike Ashley in charge i believe that Pardew is about as good as he can attract. That sitting in 12th with 2 wins and 2 defeats isn't really sackable form. If it gets as bad as it was last christmas, that could change. Form shouldn't make a difference any more than two good games for Shola should get him a new contract. The bloke is not good enough to do the job and never will be.

HF will always have a stat to prove that Pardew's doing a good job. Unfortunately neither the league table nor my own experiences back those up.

fucks sake wullie man, you're a quality poster but i honestly don't get how you can't see bruce changed shit up after the first goal...he closed down the areas we were getting joy and his players exploited the massive holes in our formation you make it sound like pardew just ordered them back into formation as soon as the first goal went in, that's not how it happened at all We were considerably less positive with the ball after our goal than before it. Our players stopped trying to beat their man, preferring to turn round and ping it back to players in safer positions, and we stopped getting numbers in the box. I didn't expect anything else, that's how Pardew wants his team to play.
-
And as I've said many times Pardew doesn't have to "tell" them anything. That is the way we play, that is our footballing gameplan, to score the first goal then slow the tempo right down and attempt to stay solid.
-
Hull looked embarrassingly shit until we scored and took our footf off the gas. They'd hardly touched the ball whilst we were trying to attack.
-
We sit back when we're ahead mate.
-
He doesn't have to tell them, they've been coached to execute that gameplan for nearly three years now.
-
so after their next game? Before that. Bollocks.
-
Villa missed two sitters from players he should have been picking up like.
-
Apart from Man United (who played another) every team who played in midweek won.
-
Why does anyone want us to put a weakened side out?
-
Pardew has always let Ben Arfa do what he wants. Why do you all think he likes him so much? The bloke hasn't got any power, the players know it and take full advantage.
-
Moyes simply isn't up to that job.
-
Swansea looking utterly knackered from their game in midweek I see.
-
Again, he's telling people what to believe and some will. I think you're missing the point Mick.
-
They'll do exactly what they did last year and bin him off a couple of games before the derby and hope for a timely bump in form.
-
The Wolves game a year later when Terry Connor was in charge and they were conceding five goals on a regular basis in which we came out after half time and attempted to defend a 2-0 lead is still one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen from a Newcastle team. Nothing has changed since then in terms of mentality.
-
In Pardew's entire time here, we've only ever scored three away and won twice, yet in the last six home games, it's happened to us three times.
-
Even the solitary four wasn't a comprehensive win, Southampton led and then equalised before a penalty and an own goal took us to four.
