Yep. Hardly surprising, Pardew singing Blue Moon in the dressing room beforehand after a rendition of Money Talks.
-
Hopeless from Navas. Should have howked it to Williamson at the back stick.
-
Ben Arfa will be on the plane with Cabaye in the morning.
-
Love this. This must be why this place has been packed with morons telling us about being "positive"
-
Tiote taking over Cabaye's role of aimlessly clipping it in the vague direction of Cisse. My favourite tactic of ours, our only one in fact.
-
They've got loads of money.
-
Classic Pardew formation change after ten minutes.
-
Can't "compete" translates as can't tackle, can't close down, can't stand in the right place, can't do anything but grab our ankles.
-
Double figures coming here.
-
Predictable as the sun rising.

In either the last accounts or the one before that, they had paid nothing but we had paid a few grand for the cost of the red and blue bunting that adorns SJP.

He should be taking the cost of advertising off the loan. But he isn't. He's taking £10m in loan, and God knows how much in advertising. Impossible to know the individual costs but the advertising revenue being down 13 million pounds per year from what it was tells its own story.
-
Do really think Sports Direct's success is "largely" because of the advertising through us? That's ridiculous IMO. I'd imagine having a Premier League ground named after your sports merchandise firm and subsequently having it named on Sky Sports News etc etc every day for months didn't exactly do the company much harm. As usual though you've picked up on a single word in an attempt to defend Mike Ashley taking millions of pounds worth of advertising revenue away from the club each year and into his firm without subtracting a penny from his loan. Almighty WUM.
-
BTW (I know it's not really on topic but fuck it) in the six year period that Mike Ashley has been using NUFC as the advertising wing of his company, the share price of said company has gone from 36p to £6.36. And some people still think it's right and proper for him to take the full value of his loan back in cash ahead of buying any players despite the fact his company is now 17 times more valuable, largely as a result of the millions of pounds worth of free advertising we've given him.
-
Worth pointing out that Ashley has severely reduced the club's commercial revenue while he's been here too which is astonishing given the increasing profile of the league. When Shepherd left, our commercial revenue (sponsorship and merchandise) was £27m, Spurs (a club of similar stature imo, even if the manager thinks they're miles bigger) had a commercial revenue of £20m. In the last set of accounts, Spurs posted revenue in that sector of £41m. Ours was £13m, less than half what it was six years ago whilst theirs has doubled. Claims of being penniless stretch credibility when the numbers show he has blatantly been actively reducing club revenue from sponsors in order to paint our stadium red and blue. This pre-season just gone is the most extraordinary example, whilst other clubs are jetting off to areas of the world who are utterly obsessed with the Premier League to try and sell shirts (which clearly works), we are heading to some of the UK's most deprived areas to try and advertise pay day loans.
-
Love Colo but it does concern me how angry he's appeared to be on the field during pre-season, we already know he has a tendency to see red at times but he's looked a right radge packet.
-
The wages have gone up 82% since last season like the television money has? Blimey.

We don't have nearly a good enough squad to compensate for Pardew's ineptitude. Especially when the best players rarely see the pitch at the same time and are often played out of position. The manager is a separate matter. We have a group of 16-17 imo who I'm happy with in terms of first XI and squad players, we don't need that much to add to it. It's not a separate matter, it's yet another position that he refuses to strengthen because it would cost him money.
-
You're happy to see us spend £1.5m when we're about to receive a portion of the biggest television deal in the history of the game? What do you suggest they do with the other £65m?
-
Why would Saints fans give the slightest fuck how much they paid?
-
Saints up to £35m spending. Mugs.

Manchester City vs. Newcastle United - 19/08/13 @ 8pm (Sky Sports 1)
Wullie replied to Elliottman's topic in Football
Looks decent personnel but only if that's the system. 4-2-3-1 with Cabaye too deep and Sissoko pulled wide is no good. -
Beaten all the "big teams" ffs. Fuck off, fuck off, fuck off. This is not FA Cup third round weekend and we are not Accrington Stanley.
