Fucking hell, what a vindictive cunt our manager is. Absolute fucking bellend.
-
You'd get it back anyway if he didn't play. Which he will.

think Hughton was better at inspiring big performances. which is funny cos i always thought one of Hughton's weaknesses was motivation and it caused us to drop points against so called lesser teams, whereas Pardew seems a bit more professional in that regard. Maybe so, but we have a better team now. Long ball is not our normal game, Pardew chose that at Bolton because he must have thought that was Boltons weakness. Must have thought it was Swansea's and West Brom's weakness too.

Still surprised by the amount of people who wanted us to sign him. Utter waste of time.

Don't understand how that's the "modern" footballer. Transfers aren't a new thing.
-
they've got some great players for that side of the game in Lucas and Suarez... Precisely. We'll not get a better chance than tonight to do them on their own patch.
-
wont stop pardew from telling our team that though will it? I agree completely. You said you're happy to go with that for today though. Agree with your point however. Our players are much better when we keep it down, we've got a quality central midfield, arguably the finest ball playing centre half in the league, wingers who prefer to pass and play 1-2s to get in behind rather than whip crosses in, a striker who is absolutely deadly with the ball at his feet and a playmaker/whatever you want to call it of immense talent. There's no reason or logic to keep pumping long balls at Leon Best. We will though.
-
Liverpool aren't a better passing side than us though.
-
Imagine if we have to play Man Utd without Coloccini and Tiote. Frigging hell.
-
I've no idea but he was absolutely horrendous against us at SJP last season.
-
Whenever I've been, it's been very much a case of using the Liverpool pubs like the Arkles when you go to Goodison Park and using the Everton pubs closest to there when you're playing at Anfield.
-
It's more risky to go into the game with the intention of losing possession and trying to defend, which will be the clear intent if we start with Best. This horrible mob simply aren't good enough to be giving them that much respect. Their best midfielder and their best attacker are both absent, we should be going there with the full intention of keeping the ball and beating them, not more long ball shite.
-
Hope when Taylor comes back, we drop Ba and start playing Williamson up front. Need more defensive stability from our centre forwards and he'll still be more likely to score than Best.
-
I'm actually being serious, they do.
-
Aye, they definitely ask you in Argos for your address details for license purposes.

Can't believe that polar bear story even made the news, typical of the anti BBC stuff flowing through some of the tabloids. How is it deception when the only reason it came to light was because the BBC put an explanation of how it was filmed on their own Frozen Planet website?

ITV made The World at War, though I agree with you.

Simpson is the better defender (though I don't think there's as much in it as some people like to make out) but the flip side is that you have the ball less because he's much less inclined to try and find a man in space or contribute in any way when you actually have the ball. Having Simpson in the side against teams where you hope to be attacking is incredibly frustrating. Ryan Taylor still gets some very silly criticism given his contribution this season, both offensively and otherwise.

I'm not, i only watch MOTD, why should i pay the whole fee for just one programme ? You don't ever use BBC Online or listen to BBC Radio? It's one of, if not the, world's best broadcasters and that is largely due to the way it is funded. Having said that, most countries operate a TV licence system and don't have anything near as good as the BBC. I really don't know why people complain about it, especially in 2011 when if you really don't want one, it's so easy to get round it - you can watch pretty much everything on the BBC, and the other terrestrial channels, (other than MOTD due to rights issues) without even needing a TV licence, and all legally. The BBC have probably dropped out due to the new contract deal that the Football League have with Sky, which already lets them show all the goals before the FLS is even aired. No i dont, like i said i only watch MOTD, i watch sport and documentaries and Sky are far superior to the BBC for those, and i never listen to the radio and if i do its never anything BBC related. It is not one the world best broadcasters, imo its one of the worst, its run by people who have no interest in what we the taxpayers want and would like to actually see, it gives so called stars millions of pounds of our money without our consent, knowledge or input, that is outrageous seeing as virtually everyone has to pay toward it. What's this based on?
-
Well... yeah. How can a player possibly be match-fit when he's not been playing? Do you know what match-fit means?
-
Only live broadcasting is covered by the TV licence. If you watch MOTD2 live when it's streamed on the website, you're breaking the law. If you watch it on Tuesday on iPlayer, it's perfectly legal. http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/help/playing_tv_progs/tvlicence

Very disappointed in the BBC for this. I'm an advocate of the BBC and the licence fee but this is exactly the type of thing it should be paying for.

Bognor Regis. Good luck to him. He'll get himself a five year contract no bother if he's lucky enough to have Perch man-marking him in training.

Delighted with that but strange, as you say. Convinced they'd have gone up if he'd even just stayed until after the play off final, Scott was a proper chump.
