  1. £10m's a snip tbh, despite how much it rankles me after what we let him go for.

    Kenwright's a cunt.[/CMc]
  3. Aye, glad we never had to go through this.
  4. Wouldn't know him if he slapped me in the face so at this stage the best I can say is at least he's not Stephen Ireland. 'tis good to see us moving early mind, I've always said you should have the majority of your transfer dealings done by the start of pre-season and certainly by the first league game. Anything after that should be a bonus if a certain player becomes available.
  5. Reading done for unless Alan Smith comes on for Swansea in the second half.

    Sebastian Larsson

Can't say I'm that arsed tbh.
  7. Here's me about to kill Kevin Gameiro in MGS: http://www.thegamereviews.com/userfiles/image/metal-gear-solid-2-1.jpg FFS.
  8. All clubs sell players so all clubs have the same ambition, isn't that the point you were making? No the exact opposite. We are nowhere near having the same ambitions as Man Utd & Liverpool at the moment, which is why when a bigger club comes in a) the player's head will be turned and b) if mental money is offered the club will always consider it. And the same applies to Villa, Everton, Spurs, etc. Why aren't we near having the same ambitions as Liverpool? Aren't they in masses of *gasp* DEBT? They should sell their good players, or at least make them take hefty pay cuts. Get relegated too if possible. Ambition. Liverpool have been in or around the top 4 and the Champions League places since 1996 bar the odd blip, not to mention the 20 odd years before that, as well as winning cups. We've finished there about 6 years out of 20 and had the occasional Final or Semi Final. Spot the difference. What the f***'s that got to do with anything? Football isn't played in the past. Liverpool aren't going to be buying players by showing the other club some 80s Cup Final DVDs. We can afford to punch our weight with Liverpool, like we have before. Of course we can Why can't we?

I'm not interested in being an also-ran and much bigger attendances than all of the above say we shouldn't be.

  12. Yes, the situations are almost identical. Please tell me who these star local players are that Man Utd and Liverpool have sold. Come on man there's a huge difference. Liverpool have been top 4 or thereabouts Gerrard's, Carragher's, etc. whole careers, Man Utd have been there the whole time so no reason to leave. We've finished top 5 three times in about 13 seasons. Tell me what makes you think players from here won't see moves to bigger clubs an attraction. So in 20 years Man Utd have never had one offer for Giggs or Scholes and Liverpool have never had one for Gerrard or Carragher? Who cares what the players want exactly? An offer comes in, you reject it, end of story.
  13. The Dog and Duck sold Joe Bloggs to the Hare and Hounds for £30 and a keg of lager, they're practically Man Utd's sister club in that case. You sound absolutely fucking ridiculous with this nonsense, it does you no favours.

  15. He better not go to Liverpool or Manchester United then. Why's that? Because they sell their star players if a bid to good to turn down comes in? Dear me Jon.
  16. He better not go to Liverpool or Manchester United then. Why's that?
  17. Yet he tweeted at the time, he didn't care AC was gone. hmmm who should I believe. Footballer in last year of contract manouvers for biggest wad, there's a surprise. He did an interview within days saying that the club had broken their promises and that Andy Carroll was a key player.
  18. The uncomfortable truth. Completely irrelevant to the original point however.
  19. It's not a question of loyalty, it's a matter of commitment to the cause. A team with no heart and soul is no team at all.
  20. Imagining's probably the best anyone can do at this stage unless they watch Lorient and Lille every week.
  21. The more who leave or have an uncertain future, the more who will want to leave and we're only three or four key departures away from a squad which would sink like a stone. It's going to be a very long and difficult 18 months for all of us if things continue to pan out.
