He had a very good run between January and March, otherwise than that he was either injured or unavailable. If he was good enough, why didn't any club come in for him before we signed him last september as well? What sort of argument is that? Not really an arguement, just making some points tbh. I don't think anyone bar Man United were in for Hernandez. On that basis he must be shite. Different Arguement, Lovenkrands was a on free and had just played 4 months in the premiership. Hernandez cost around £10M, and hasn't played in the premiership before then. Can you not use your own eyes to see that we need movement on the pitch? Lower level it may be but Blackpool are a team we battered into submission a few short months ago, now they're coming up here and mugging us. We played some tremendous stuff at the back end of last season, teams couldn't handle the pace and movement of Routledge, Gutierrez and Lovenkrands. Now we play a very different way and it's not working.

Bent's feet wouldn't touch the floor if an NUFC bid came in for him. Wouldn't fucking need to tbh, he's never away from the Toon.

Darren bent in eldon square about two minutes ago. Knob should fuck off to the bridges.

Lovenkrands does have a tendency to disappear but rarely did at home last year. Our problem at home is movement and like it or not he's the best we have as a striker who can move. As for weak, fucking hell, the Championship was designed for huge clogging centre halves.
-
Don't understand the vitriol towards Lovenkrands like. If you're going to judge on a cup game against Stanley should you not first judge on an excellent season last year, particularly at home where we happen to be really struggling for goals? Fair enough if you think he's not good enough for this league but that does not mean he's not worth his place if it happens that he's our best option in terms of pace and movement up front. Blackpool came up here with 11 players not good enough for this league and went home with three points. We can't continue being totally static up front and Shola will not solve that.
-
I really hope he succeeds because i'm convinced he has the ability even at this level. You don't lose the ability to do some of the stuff he did last year. I think it's all in his head. Bet there's very few Premier league wingers who will give Jose Enrique the torrid time that he did last season.

The statistics on crossing tell you absolutely sod all tbf.

Wish I could class £750 pissed away to the bookies as a 'bad day at the office'. Haha Get a job then.

Fail to see how Mark Hughes is a proven manager personally. What's he done? Nowt.
-
Doubt there's a club in England where that's not happening tbh. Nature of the beast. The rest of your post is a load of nonsense, he got us promoted with 100+ points. Stuff about "club of our size" is just arrogance based on nothing. He earned the job unlike a lot of Premier League managers who get given them as soon as they've hung their boots up because of what their name is or who they played for.
-
Nolan's missed three what i would call sitters against wolves, blackpool and stoke. He gets away with it because he's not a striker yet also gets away with offering fuck all else because he's meant to be a striker! His defenders can't have it both ways.
-
Hughton needs to address the lack of movement up front. After we signed Routledge, he and Lovenkrands would constantly open defences up with the former playing through balls for the latter, we scored a lot of goals like that after January. Whatever you think of Lovenkrands, we desperately miss his movement because Carroll and Nolan have zero. Ben Arfa constantly picked the ball up waiting for a runner to go only to see the front pair standing still.
-
Next time we play this mob i want us to have a comfortable lead, keep playing for throws, dry the ball for 30-45 seconds, take a normal short throw and repeat.
-
Who's the other striker though, that's the problem. And if you do that, where does Ben Arfa fit in? Not sure it's the answer, much as i like Lovenkrands. For me Ben Arfa must play behind Carroll with Routledge and Jonas supporting effectively from wide and not acting as orthodox wingers. We can play this way but our players now seem to struggle with not pinging it to the big guy, which is more annoying since we didn't do it last year.

I couldn't disagree more. I think we did this in the second half and that's what cost us the game. We shouldn't be worrying about Stoke, they should be worrying about us. First half we had them right where we wanted them and while we weren't battering them, we were passing it round and looking very comfortable. Second half we played where they wanted us to, in the air.
-
There's nothing wrong with playing a lone striker per se but only if you play the right way - i.e. having your attacking players supporting the forward effectively. We don't do this.
-
Do we have to have a main strength? What's Man Utd's main strength? Suggests to me that you want us to only be able to play one way like Stoke can.
-
I wouldn't say that were a "good side" like.
-
Would have fancied those three free kicks that we wasted in the first half. Teams know they can foul us with impunity as long as they do it fairly centrally and outside the box at the moment.
-
We won two corners from those balls by the way. Just a pity his corners are shit really.
-
Aye unfortunately. Not a side you want to play with an inexperienced keeper making his home debut.
-
Vile team, which makes it all the worse. Why the referee lets them take 30 seconds per throw is beyond me.
