Played with work on Tuesday and was actually chuffed with my performance for a change so looking forward to this.

Aye you're right Dave, last season's mackem shirt has the numbers over the stripes. In that case it's just fucking ludicrous then.
-
Isn't it now a rule across the board pandering to the TV companies so the numbers are visible?
-
At least we won't have the inevitable dozen posts per page about using Pro Evo names. I don't think Peterborough are on this year's version.
-
It's NUFC.com. Damn, so I assume no more then 1 site can become a "Nominated Fanzine"? Nope. Otherwise it's about £500. We've enquired before.
-
IIRC, and someone will correct me if I'm wrong, both it and Toontastic were pulled because of fixture lists being posted. N-O was set up months later as a merger of the two which had both operated temporary boards in the interim.
-
Dave mentioned it's happened to websites before - specifically, it has happened to this website before, in its previous guise as Howaythetoon. On this issue, there can-a be no debate-a![/Poppy] Also worth a read is this Watford site: http://www.bsad.org/0506/reports/fixtures_letter.html

But if I give up my season ticket, he's immediately going to take the club down the car boot sale and see if he can get a ton for it is he?
-
Aye I'm an uberfan because I'd rather go down the pub then go and watch my team of a Saturday than stay in the house or go down the shops. I don't put any money into NUFC other than match tickets and I didn't under Shepherd either but I won't let them drive me away. If that makes me an uberfan then so be it. I'd rather be that than stopping in watching X-Factor tbh. Whether I'm there or not will make sod all difference to a man like Mike Ashley, he's made it perfectly clear that he doesn't give a fuck what the fans think anyway.
-
Letting him drive away the supporters is letting him win. I'll be at St James' Park long after Mike Ashley has walked away (hopefully into the path of oncoming traffic) and I'll be damned if I'm going to let that scumbag stop me doing something I love.
-
Absolutely cannot wait to see Glen Johnson in the Champions League. Even Kazakhstan made him look a shambles last week, the lad couldn't tackle his dinner. £17m!
-
In the circumstances we might have no choice. The club being left to rot under Ashley is unthinkable.
-
I'm totally bored of this saga already. When does the football start again?
-
I blame the despicable cunts in charge who made this a place where good players do not want to be. Sick of people blaming the players while letting the scum at the top off scot free.

100s of jobs going in my local area, very bad times. Although I expect someone else to move into the call centre and most of them to get work out of it again. Pity he's one of the presenters. -
Carrick isn't a plastic Geordie at all. He was devastated that we didn't go for him when West Ham went down. FFS went for Nicolas Buttocks instead. Despite Carrick being at the top of SBRs list. Shepherd turned him down as he thought £3m was too much for him, IIRC. Sure Shepherd is quoted is saying something like "we'll get him for cheaper than that because he'll crawl over broken glass to come here."

which bar in Orlando out of interest? You should have glassed him It's a place called BBQ Bar, it's downtown. Just looked up the term glassed and yeah, I was walking over there with the intention of sharing a few kind words with the douche who had a bleached faux-hawk. Color me surprised when it's Alan fucking Smith in Orlando, Florida of all places. He went there a few weeks before we signed him too, Rich off here saw him.

I will if you want.
-
Contradiction really. you lost the argument Nixon, give it up. Then you misinterpreted my point. You can't say you don't want to drag something up then bring it up. It's happened and we'll never have one unified opinion on him, so just drop it. Bollocks. I wouldn't want to do the whole argument again but for me the actions since have proved a point. Ashley is total scum and any sensible person would have walked away rather than been held responsible for potential relegation.
-
Without wanting to drag it all up again, for me Keegan's decision has been totally vindicated by the way Ashley has gone on since. Who would want to work for this utter fucking cunt?

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/25052009/58/premier-league-team-season-hail-gerrard.html I'd disagree about Enrique being as bad as they say, he had some games where he seemed to think the ball boys were his team-mates, but I think he just picked up poor marks in general bad defensive performances with extra points off for poor passing. Can't argue with the rest of it though, and Coloccini was easily the worst of a bad bunch last season. I disagree with people saying he started well and then lost his confidence in a poor team. I think he showed the same weaknesses from the start, just that with new players it takes a while for you to see their flaws, or if you see them you subconsciously let them off because they're new to the team/league. Certainly within a few months there were people saying there were serious problems in his game that he'd need to improve to be any good in the Premiership. He never did, and there's no reason to believe he ever will. There's no way we'll get anything like £7m for him, unless we agree to pay half his wages too. I think we'd be lucky to get £3-4m and we'll probably end up loaning him out abroad to avoid paying his wages, hoping he'll look half decent in another league. (He's so in demand, none of the 3 clubs he's already been on loan to in his career could hang on to him, they all had to give him back at the end of the season ) I don't hesitate in saying that for £12.5m & £50+k/w for a mature defender who doesn't have the basic skills required to play in an English league, IMO Coloccini is easily the worst transfer the club has ever made. That stuff about Enrique is genuine material. These people are employed to write about football?!? Fuck me!

A very useful player to have alongside other more creative ones because he carries the ball very well, works hard, has pace and opens up space for other people. However, amongst our ragtag outfit of midfielders, none of whom could play a telling pass if their lives depended on it, his alarming lack of end product just had him permanently flattering to deceive.

How can we possibly be in a better financial position when we're now off the Premiership gravy train?
