Still early days, yet. Though I wouldn't be overly surprised come May.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
Big Geordie replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
10-12000 went over when we plated Inter, back in 2003. No idea as to how many away fans Dortmund will allow - no idea for PSG either. I was one of about 4000 that went to watch us at Juventus in 2002. Not bad for a mid-week away. -
I was one of around 4000 that went to Turin when we played Juventus, back in 2002. Went over with Keith Barrett's Toon Travel - canny couple of days.

The shite-show for 2023 continues.

BBC reporting Dean Henderson - Man United to Palace.

How much is Roberts away for? Mackems will be really worried - one fit centre-forward on the books I think?
-
Good signing for Sheff Wed if it goes through. Wish Hayden well - got nout bad to say about him.

I wonder if Newcastle will be too cold for Mbappe, when PSG are due here? -

Group of Death, but nothing to fear. None of those three will have wanted to pull Newcastle - make no mistake. Gonna be some belter away days for those who are going. -
League Cup 3rd Round Draw - NUFC v Man City on 27/09 @ 8pm (live on Sky)
Big Geordie replied to 54's topic in Football
Was always gonna be a hard draw tonight (such is our luck) At least we are at home though. -
Nope - nothing has changed at The Morgue as far as I can see/know. Shameful really.

Does finishing in 3rd place, still drop into the Europa League? -
Jamaal Lascelles (now playing for League One Leicester City)
Big Geordie replied to Nobody's topic in Football
Players should be able to go out and enjoy themselves - 25 years ago, Shearer and the lads were regularly down the Quay in Julies/Quilted Camel. Problem is the fucking coked up idiots - a lot more of them about today. -

Some kernt trying to boot some bugger in the head, as he lies on the deck. I can't make out Lascelles. -
Excellent win for Blyth - 2-0 at home to Spennymoor
-
Aye - fuck of with that shite patter. Worth a ban, IMO.
-
I would take seeing the scousers coming here fishing as a compliment. Under Ashley - they would never have bothered, because that version of Newcastle wasn't a threat. This one very much is and will be in the years to come. They are worried - make no mistake. We might have lot a battle yesterday, but we are very much going to be in the war.
-
Blyth at home to Spennymoor today.
-
I should have added regularly. Rome wasn't built in a day and clearly FFP stops us doing what Man City and Chelsea have done.
-
As someone said earlier, we just don't have the nouse (yet!) to go toe-to-toe with the 'Top 4/5' as yet. We've come so far inside 2 years - remember where we were.
-
There will be crackerjacks among our lot who expect us to go and challenge for the PL, this season - that's really unlikely to happen. It's more about targeting a top 8 finish and having a right fucking go at the cups and the CL, IMO. Nothing to lose on the latter.
