I hope more names come out with regards to this. As it is, I suspect it will all be brushed underneath the carpet quietly by the FA and PL. Telegraph won't be that arsed to follow through, as they've managed to get shot of Allardyce. Maybe thats enough?

Greed never wins out in the end. England is even more of a poisoned chalice than we are. No self respecting manager should go anywhere near. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There's too much money in English football for there not to be widespread corruption going on. Allardyce will go - media will demand it and the FA are as dodgy as hell too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think it's a sad sign of the times. When I used to go to away games, there would be some self-policing from older supporters - but does this not go on now? Have some of the characters just disappeared or can't be arsed to get involved anymore? Me personally - I just don't see the appeal of getting pissed before a game, or being off my tits on something. It's just an excuse for acting like a prick and spoiling it for others. I kinda feel a bit sorry for those parents who take their bairns to away games (as I'd maybes like to when my 8 year old gets a bit older)

Seems to be an issue with the away support at the moment and not having been to an away game in about 6 years - have things changed that much? Are there too mmany knackers who spoil it for the rest?

The lad needs to be allowed to settle into the club and I'd advocate him being taken out of the firing line for a bit. The abuse he's got on Twitter is little short of shameful. I remember Mike Hooper getting a lot of stick, back in 93/94 and KK becoming very angry about it.

Ran the show yesterday. but suffered when Hayden had to shift to DR. Tiote might have not as well been playing when he came on, for all the good he was.

Aston Villa 1-1 Newcastle United - 24/09/16, post match from pg. 27

I'd have settled for a point at kick off, but we should have been out of sight by half-time in all honesty. Shelvey ran the show in midfield, but was let down by poor finishing from Gayle and Diame and of course, Sels flapping in goal didn't help either. Was really disappointed by how we seemed to fall apart when Tiote came on the field. Hanging on for grim death at the end. I think Benitez needs to take Sels out of the firing line and also bring Perez back in for Norwich in the place of Diame. -

If that is the case (and it looks like it could well be) TRon, Rafa will sort it. You don't get to achieve what he has in football, without knocking heads together and taking no rubbish. -

Radio Newcastle are saying that Rafa still has the players locked in the dressing room. Good. -

Made mistakes today, but the players he selected have let him down badly. I'd like to think he won't make the same mistakes again. Needs to kick some bottoms.

It's something of another (!) reality check. Rafa has made mistakes today and has been utterly let down by the players he picked. I'm not panicking - it's just so typical really. The likes of Perez, Mbemba, Diame, etc need a fucking good hiding for their complacency.
