Was MoM for me, yesterday. Love the way he dictates and runs the game - superb range of passing. I think Rafa is bringing the best out of him and will continue to do so - as long as Shelvey keeps listening. Don't see any reason why he won't continue to be a key player, once (and if!) we return to the PL and also - forcing himself back into the England set up isn't beyond the realms of possibility for him.

Not long back in. Thoroughly enjoyed a professional performance today - players never really had to get out of 2nd gear and Ipswich offered little going forwards. Shelvey ran the show and is an absolute joy to watch, when he is dictating play and pinging the ball around like he is. 2 good finishes from Perez and a classy effort from Richie for no.3. Enjoyed my day.

Sad thing is that Bobby Charlton has always seemed to distance himself from his roots (shameful) Jack on the other hand - absolutely top bloke. Met him a few times - his son runs 'Charltons' pub at Cambois, where I live.
