Only time I've seen the knacka element from our lot waiting is on derby day. Are they still struggling to shift tickets for tomorrow?
  3. Agreed. Fair play to the lad as well. Am sure he won't be the last to do this.
  4. Can we not pressurize the council into putting up a sign on Barrack Road, outside the ground (perhaps on the pavement) saying 'St James' Park'. Not sure if Ashley could do owt about it?
  5. New signage will have to come down for the Olympic football, as well as other advertising inside the ground. Makes you wonder what he'll do with the big fuck off sign on top of the Gallowgate - cover it up with a boat load of gaffa tape?! I suspect more permanent signage will go up once the Olympics are done and no, there will be no ground sponsor. It's always been about peddaling his company on TV for nout.

    That Billy Sharp stuff. :(
  7. Why does Ashley insist on keeping on doing shit like this when things are going well? I'd also wager that no-one is buying the naming rights so it will stay as it is. Free advertising for Ashley.

Poor show from the mackems if they only manage around 30k for a 5th round cup game.
  10. Looks like a sign you'd see outside a feckin scrapyard.
  11. Must be going to Leeds. Not sure if that's the best move for Clarky.
  12. Well done Haris. His first 'goal' in English football unless I'm mistaken?
  13. What's this jelly and icecream business http://i.imgur.com/EWN5B.gif
  14. Too late for me too - damage to the image of the club has already been done. Will take some years to repair, IMO (if ever)
  15. I reckon Spurs are a benchmark for us in some respects, for how well they have been ran in recent years. Yes, players such as Carrick and Berbatov were sold, but cash was re-invested and they have progressed on from that. Will the same thing happen to us? Perhaps because we have made progress since our return to the PL, but it's about keeping it real. CL qualification isn't going to happen (I for one don't know anyone who's mentioned it!) but a top 6/7 finish would be great and from there we can push on next season. We bounced back from the Fulham debacle and we will do again from this. As disappointing as it is (today) we just have to keep the faith. Am trying to be optimistic which is a new thing for me in recent times. 30 years of following this lot makes you cynical!
  16. Not good enough, but in saying that Spurs were different class. Thought Guthrie tried to make things happen, but he was let down by a lack of support from others - notably Perch and the awful Obertan. If anything today shows that the back up that we have in key areas is just not good enough. And that needs addressing in the summer.
  17. Well, we've been outclassed in that first half. Spurs movement is terrific though that said, they have enjoyed a run of the ball and we should have had a pen. We are badly missing Tiote and Cabaye and as a result are having to play a high defensive line yet again. Hard to see what changes Pardew can make, such is the lack of depth we have in the centre of midfield.
  18. Blackburn 3 QPR 2 Mackie with his 2nd.
