  1. Knives coming out for Nolan now then eh? Unbelievable.
  2. Seriously. Who the fuck on here doesn't think Llambias is a slimy, deceitful, dishonest cunt who persistently shits on both employees of the club and its loyal fanbase? What is the point of this post? My point is to the apologists on here who blindly back the regime no matter what shitty business the club does. How many of them are there? Name some names. Are you denying that there are such folk on here? I've never seen anybody who blindly backs the regime. I honestly don't know where this has came from. Admittedly I avoid these mindless cyclical discussions so maybe I have missed Ashley's army of followers. Like I said, some names would be nice. I'm not saying that there is an 'army' as such, but I can't name names off the top of my head. It's just something that I remember from debates on here in the past. If anyone else can do so, feel free and hopefully prove that I'm not off my rocker on this one. I have had arguements on another board with some folk who are quite blase about the regime and the way it treats people. For myself I might be cynical in my old age but I will say things as I see it and not merely go 'oh well' whilst preparing to bend over for another buggering.

  5. I wonder who the Ashley apologists will side with on these latest quotes? Another key player who left and had a pop at the club's board. Surely it can't be a coincidence? Makes you wonder what else has got to happen for these folk to wake up and smell the coffee. Not surprised in the slightest that Llambias backed out on a gentleman's agreement because he's a slimey fecker with no class. Doubtlessly he will now come out in the media over the next couple of days and attack Nolan - or perhaps it'll be left the the 'senior club source' again.
  6. I don't have ESPN. Nevermind - cheers anyway.
  7. Preseason friendly. Should be fun. Televised anywhere? Would be nice to see Messi take them apart again.
  8. Defoe is simply too old and is he actually that good? I'm not so sure..... I'd take Bassong back, but no to Beye.
  9. I'm a bit unsure as to whether to stay up for the commentary or not. I stayed up late on Sat night/Sunday morning and after watching the first half, I wish I hadn't bothered!
  10. 3 months is a joke and sends out the wrong message.
  11. More BS for Pardew. Funny how this comes out just after Jose's tweeting last night.
  12. Put the tin hat on mate, a load of bullets are coming your way.
  13. The latest from Mark Douglas doesn't sound at all good! Will it be in tomorrow's Journal or is it too late? Perhaps as well they have to be careful what to print so as not to get on the wrong side of Llambias?
  14. If that's true then it won't be a new thing - this will have been simmering for some time, probably since Ashley binned Hughton and sold Carroll. Club are treading in dangerous waters, IMO. We've seen what can happen before when the players aren't happy. It would appear the owner has not learned his lesson.
  15. Fair play to him for speaking his mind, I for one only wish he had done it a bit earlier. We all know that the club isn't being ran with the best of intentions/having ambition, so why should our better players want to stay? I believe if Ashley had shown a bit of ambition to push the club forwards, then Jose would more than likely stay. As it is at the moment, the intent seems to be PL survivial first and foremost with minimal squad investment as the cash continues to roll in. What is going to happen to all of this income? As I've said before - Jose has been a great servant to the club - he didn't jump ship when others did and he sought to right the mistakes of 2008/09. I wish him well for the future. I'm just amazed after everything the ownership has done to it's fanbase that there are still many who will happily bend over for a good old buggering. When will people wake up and smell the coffee? I for one am a bit worried for next season, as we've shifted out our two top scorers (one being an influential captain) The dressing room must be on it's arse, so where are the big characters who are going to rise up and roll their sleeves up?

    Mevlüt Erdinç

Who's to say it's not us who have been fucking around for weeks? This wouldn't surprise me in the least. May well end up being yet another players heavily linked with us (by Pardew and the club) who moves elsewhere.

Sounds a bit like Gamiero if I'm honest.
  18. Making money in America - that's the name of the game. Aside from appearance fees I can't see them making much tbh. No coverage of games, low crowds, unglamorous opposition. And even what they do make it'll be cancelled out a fair bit by the flight and accommodations costs. We will be being paid a fair bit in apperance money, I reckon.
