If Bassong has done his groin (which it looked) - I reckon anywhere between 3-6 weeks before he comes back. Did Taylor take a whack on the ankle? Can't remember where he got caught. -

Cacapa? Drogba will destroy him. Would rather have Shola there. :-/ -
It's a very real possibility. There will be a fire sale if we do go down, but the problem is - who will want to take the likes of Smith and Duff from us?

I thought Martins did OK - tried to make things happen, and he made a good contribution - penalty miss apart. As for Michael Owen - he has the look of a man who knows he is leaving and as a result, doesn't give a flying one. It's been that way with him since Christmas though. He's a passenger when he plays. Also - just reading on Sky. Hughton has denied that Ashley went into the dressing room after the match to talk to the players. He also expects that no managerial change will be forthcoming and Kinnear will return. -
Venting of feelings will come - it's just a question of when. I suspect it'll only happen once relegation is confirmed. Won't be a pretty night in town, that.

None of them will pay the price for what they've done.

That was down to extremely poor indecision from Hughton and Calderwood. -

Everyone has to take their share of the blame, for this whole fiasco. The players aren't exempt and too often have we seen our 'bigger' players not putting a shift in, when it matters. Of course if we do go down, it'll be like rats deserting a sinking ship in the summer because there's no way the club will be able to afford keeping the likes of Smith, Duff and Barton on £60-70k a week contracts. -
He was awful tonight. Has never looked the 'WOW!' signing that Ashley said he was. Another Boumsong.

Relegation nailed on now fellas. Plain to see tonight the way we capitulated. The injuries didn't help but what was unacceptable was the decision not to drop anyone back for Taylor, when he was off the field. Another tactical masterstroke from Hughton and Calderwood which has cost us dearly. Ashley needs to be brave and fetch in Venables for the last 8 games. If you leave the current setup in situ (including Kinnear) then we are going down without a fight. Death warrant signed and sealed. -
Duff for Jonas? That's a joke. The one player who had pace in the midfield is now on the bench. There you have it boys - this club is going down without a fight.

Deserve whatever we get, IMO.

Yeah it is, just phone the setanta number and order it there. Cheers.
-
We are in big trouble, regardless!
-
Anyone know if it's possible to order the match as a one-off, from Setanta? Having to change my viewing arrangements. Have got Sky in, if that helps.
-
Bottom three, here we come!

With regards to the team we put out - am again going to put my neck on the line and say that it won't have been picked by Hughton or Calderwood. Kinnear or Wise will be calling the shots. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
-
4-5-1? Wonderful. We'll struggle to create anything - suspect Arsenal won't have to get out of 2nd gear. I'd sooner go 4-4-2, with Carroll and Martins up top.

Think I'll ask him about today's Chronicle piece on Monday night at a talk in. Where's the talk-in, fella?
-
Given - class as always. Takes some getting used to - seeing him in a Citeh top.

Any chance someone is recording this and is able to upload it to listen to later, please?

Beardsley works for the club in a PR role, so whatever he says is going to be pro-Ashley.
