  1. No way on god's earth we'll come straight back up. The club is in too much of a mess. Even if Shearer stays on, the side needs major surgery and that takes time.
  2. I'd welcome it - as long as it didn't mean Fat Freddie as chairman. It's his bollocksing about in the first place which is why we find ourselves where we are.
  3. Thing is if we do go down, then the power to change things lies in the hands that go to games. The only way Ashley can redeem himself (if he can) is to convince Shearer to rebuild the club and give him the support that he needs. Anything other than that, then the club is a lost cause and will be until it changes hands. If the latter is the case, then think hard about what you are going to to with your season ticket money when the begging letters come out. If you's need convincing - picture the likes of Ashley, Lambias, Owen, Smith and Duff laughing at you as you sign the cheque - because they will be.
  4. Again - not sure how anyone can blame KK for doing what he did. His position had become untenable because Ashley backed his man (Wise) It was totally the wrong choice and it's not only come back to bite him on the arse, but us too. Bet the poisonous little cunt is sitting laughing his tits off somewhere.
  5. It's the way it goes when you are at the bottom. We've had rotten luck over the past few games, but it can't be used as an excuse for consistently under performing players.
  6. Nolan's only about 26 isn't he? Pretty disgraceful (and unprofessional) to be washed up at that age.
  7. Fellas, you can blame Webb for today but we are where we are because we are not good enough and haven't been all season. If you are angry - you should be directing it at those who run the club and also the 7/8 cowards that currently populate our first team.
  8. Nolan is another one who should be sold in the summer. He's just not done it consistently since he joined. He's rumoured to be overweight and also allegedly likes a drink or two. What happened to that box-to-box midfielder that was at Bolton? He's been another awful signing, along with the very disappointing Ryan Taylor.
  9. GM - of course not. They are as much to blame as the owner and his various cohorts. However when the dust settles, someone has to take responsibility for what has happened this season. The players have shown they aren't interested - so surely it should be the owner who carries the can. Afterall, it's his stupid decisions that have got us in this mess for the most part.
  10. Just wondering if there is and if so, how do you's feel now that the club is standing on the brink of oblivion. Or is he not to blame?
  11. The big earners need shipping out. We all know the likes of Owen and Viduka are out of contract, but the worry for me is who the hell is going to take the likes of Smith, Duff, Geremi, Nolan and Ameobi off our hands? They can afford to stay here until their contract ends. The likes of Jonas, Coloccini and Bassong will surely leave - the first two we may have to take major losses on.
  12. Jimmy - the time to stand up and be counted passed a long time ago. The players have failed in that respect. If anyone is expecting them to go and put in a performance against Villa (and get a result), then prepare yourself for major disappointment.
  13. Desperate result today - but par for the course for this season. Am sick of the players giving it the big 'I am' in the papers in the run up to a game, and then not delivering when it matters. The lot of them are a cowardly shower of shite and must carry as much of the blame as Ashley, Wise and Lambias for this season's debacle. Shearer has been flogging a dead horse from day one - and boy does it show. RIP Newcastle United.
  14. If you help one club then you have to help the rest. Lots of non-league clubs have been spending above their means and it only comes back to haunt them, as sad as it is. I hope Newcastle BS manage to get some help from somewhere - would be a real shame to see them go under.
  15. I went on that trip. From my experience of Keith back then, he's a top fella. Has probably been harshly (but rightly so) punished for a moment of madness. Many of us would have perhaps done the same, especially when the agitator got 'personal' (so I am led to believe)
  16. It's time for him and us to move on in the summer. Simple as that.
  17. BBC Newcastle podcast is up; http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/nufc/
  18. Am just pleased it's over and that we got the 3 points. It gives us hope, but we've still got lots of work to do. Shearer needs to keep the players focused to Fulham and Villa. Viduka was great tonight - a classic showing of old fashioned centre-forward play. Just wish he'd been fit more often for us. Nolan had his best game so far for us too. Still looks a bit overweight for me though. Sets up the rest of the week nicely, before the nerves jangle again against Fulham on Sat. I'd begun to forget what celebrating a goal was like, nevermind us winning a game! As for Boro - they are gone, IMO.
  19. Whichever flank Jonas is on, we'll have nothing down the other side. Has Martins ruled himself out from starting?
  20. No way a draw will be good for either side - it's do or die indeed. Worry is for me that aside from the likes of Bassong, Beye, Harper and Butt - we have a team of cowards. When was the last time this lot actually put a shift in when it was our backs to the wall?
