15 goals from our forwards in 14 games, I'd take that if HBA, Cabaye etc chip in with a couple each. We have one clean sheet so far this season in the PL so we'd need more than that to stay up if the trend continues. That is why I firmly believe we need another forward. Shola is now third choice and any form of injury to Gouffran or Cisse moves him up a place and he is not the forward who will provide the goals we will need.

Could be either, could be neither. He has done a good job in this window although it was that or relegation ; we need another decent striker, preferably one with pace, and if it was one coming in and one player being sold I would be quite happy with that. Tiote would be the most likely to go of the top players, with Santon next. Simpson is also a possibility. Most likely one for me.

3 in his last 6. Yup I cant argue there but watching his play he is only just getting his shit together which means we have one striker who is actually scoring, something that wins games. That is the point I am making. Gouffran is better than Shola but I would hate to rely on him only.

WTF really? Cisse who is out of form, Gouffran who has played 1 game and doesn't know the league and Shola who wants put out to pasture with the gate being locked and the key thrown away. Andy Johnson and DJ Campbell would get a game here

The problem with the Premier League nowadays is every team can be turned over by another. Just look at some of the results. Now that he has the players that he should have had in the summer lets see what happens. And i havent included January because we still need another striker IMO.

We havent won away from home for some time and he played to protect a lead which we ultimate did. We won. I want to see what he does at the next home game considering the stick he got from the Marv debacle last time. Beyond Pards I dont see options that could handle the job and work under the regime and pressure that goes with our well supported club.

I invariably think that that you can pick fault with any Manager tbh. Take Villa and Norwich both have good "managers" who have experience and then take Jol a guy with bag loads of the stuff. Then I look at Atkins at Southampton and think are we actually worse off? I mean we have Carver who has a 100% record as a "good" manager albeit in one matech . My biggest problem is with the current set-up. Pards clearly gets players who he (in his mind) doesn't have some form of mental thought process over and he has to incorporate them in to some form of system.

Whilst I don't admire so so performances I take onboard he made "almost" a goal line clearance and I think Pardews words at the end were more or less telling him that he is sticking by him and he should by us.

Expect to see a big step up from our players who will know we have players in reserve who can replace/compete. Plus the Colo announcement is a big plus.

There are so many more players that need moving on before Mav. Our squad is balanced more in most areas other than attacking options.

Hes fast as f*** he should be lurking behind defenders then busting on to the ball. No reason to be offside whatsoever. The only plus is he seems to be getting shots away and is actually passing the ball well now and with confidence.

I agree if Cisse doesnt find the net we are reliant on one new striker who doesnt know the league. If Ashley really wants to gamble then this is it for me. If he gets another striker in and we dont get the results then its not down to him whereas before all these signings he was the reason we are here now. Admittedly its a bit too late but we have signed about £35m worth of talent (RRP!) Already this window so our squad is the best it has been under this regime.

We deffo need another attacker to give us more options up front. Its risky given our position. We are now strong enough in almost every area apart from up front.
