Watched him at St James when we were linked and it was pissing down. He was getting no change out of our defence and we beat them 3 nil. He got tackled just before half time but you could see his head had dropped and he failed to show for the second half. I think that was the game where Livro walked the ball in to the Wolve's net.

Thanks I guess that is why Youtube has a lot of scouting action of him without crowds as he was not always in the first team. Nesta was a brilliant defender and I actually liked him when he came and commentated for the BBC a few year back. He spoke excellent English which was quite a surprise for someone who played in Italy mostly and I know in the MLS for a short period.

@Milanista what is your thoughts on Alessio Romagnoli? We are linked with him as a free agent.

Having watched the Burnley match live at SJP this season the team is a big bunch of blokes that make the most of their size and they were crap. Just looked at his stats over the last couple of years and 12 and 14 goals in that Burnley team mean he is better than what we have by a long margin apart from maybe Wilson. Big yes from me from a survival point of view whilst also weakening a rival.

Just lists some players he wants as quick transfers and someone to kill the game like the last two mentions I think

We are the Eisenegger football club. For sale at one billion pounds with 70% off and the employees are paid the least to keep us afloat

He has to put more effort in. He never looks to be giving 100%. Did anyone see when Shelvey pulled up in the Leicester game he stopped to stretch his leg out a couple of times but still managed to run back to defend ahead of this fella before they were even at the half way line.

I can't blame him too much the ball was rising fron Son's shot but it dipped last minute and he was obviously expecting it to hit his hands. Real time it would be impoosible to correct himself properly when it started to dip.

Dropping to the Championship just pours more debt down the club's neck instead.

What on earth are you rambling on about, man? I'm saying how we just threw away a good chance to make Wembley and nobody bats an eyelid. What a shell this club and its support is Because there wasn't 'a good chance' in the slightest. Man City, Man United, and Chelsea are all still in it for a start. We would be favourites v QPR or Portsmouth Then the last 8 would only have manure/Chelsea or city in. That's a 5 in 7 chance of a winnable QF. If we put a full team out Saturday and took it seriously we could have made Wembley. What's the point in it all if we won't even give it a go? Just to lose 0-3 tonight instead of 0-5? Going for the FA Cup worked out well for Wigan didnt it? I would agree if we were mid-table but as we are likely to be very good candidates to be relegated I would rather keep the focus on staying in the league. Losing 0-5 vs 0-3 still affects goal difference and you never know when a league position will be decided on it.
