At least we are giving a team who is third in the league a real go. Happy with that performance. I expect us to be better when Sissoko gets fit and we have Ben Afra back.

Is it just me of do we some of our lot look so unfit? Tottenham seem to be running circles round us and are even finding time to press better.

I don't think it is the wages as he turned them down to go to Blackpool for playing time. Could we offer the playing time? I think we would need to move on a biggish player to accommodate him but this boy is the real deal, no doubt.

Top of my list too not sure of his contract situation because it was reported that Blackpool rejected £8m in January for him. £8m in Jan or nothing in the summer seems stupid if true.

I' picked... Southampton - just changed their manager and could well find that the wrong decision as the season goes on. Looked at Norwich but just think these could end up there ahead of them. Villa - such a poor team at the moment and struggling for form. QPR- Already down unless 'arry finds God and asks him for a miracle that not even Moses could muster.

I say start him if he has great pace and recovery. Our fullbacks are getting exposed and beaten so these defensive attributes are better than those that Taylor provides. He may well help stop some of the goals we concede so our "3 in last 6" striker can hopefully win us the game.

Gouffran is actually very good in the air. I guess that is why he was pushed up in front of Cisse when we were launching it into the box early on against Villa. He can play on the wing but I would like to see him tried up top from time to time.

Jonas will play v Chelsea unless Pardew abandons his beliefs. I have just seen Jonas's appearance stats and can't beleive he's hardly missed a game for us. 15 goals from our forwards in 14 games, I'd take that if HBA, Cabaye etc chip in with a couple each. We have one clean sheet so far this season in the PL so we'd need more than that to stay up if the trend continues. That is why I firmly believe we need another forward. Shola is now third choice and any form of injury to Gouffran or Cisse moves him up a place and he is not the forward who will provide the goals we will need.

Could be either, could be neither. He has done a good job in this window although it was that or relegation ; we need another decent striker, preferably one with pace, and if it was one coming in and one player being sold I would be quite happy with that. Tiote would be the most likely to go of the top players, with Santon next. Simpson is also a possibility. Most likely one for me.

3 in his last 6. Yup I cant argue there but watching his play he is only just getting his shit together which means we have one striker who is actually scoring, something that wins games. That is the point I am making. Gouffran is better than Shola but I would hate to rely on him only.
